
Women's Basketball to Face Texas A&M Sunday

Mizzou women's basketball will host Texas A&M at 5 p.m. on Sunday in Mizzou Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network.
Mizzou enters the contest following a loss to Florida on Thursday.
Junior guard Grace Slaughter led the Tigers with 21 points against Ole Miss. The performance marked her second straight game with 20 or more points and her 10th outing of 20 or more this season.
Slaughter is 33rd in the country and sixth in the SEC with 19.1 points this season. In addition, the junior is 11th in the country and second in the SEC with 35.90 minutes per game this year.
Junior guard Shannon Dowell scored 15 points on Thursday. Dowell and Slaughter have eclipsed double-digit scoring totals in the last four contests.
Efficient from long range, Mizzou is ranked 10th in the country and first in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 37.3 percent.
The Tigers are 27th nationally and fourth in the SEC with 8.7 makes from beyond the arc per game.
Individually, sophomore guard Chloe Sotell (39.2%) and junior guard Abbey Schreacke (38.3%) are fourth and fifth, respectively, in the conference in 3-point percentage.
Mizzou also executes at the charity stripe as the Tigers rank fifth in the country and first in the SEC in free-throw percentage at 79.9 percent.
Entering Sunday, Mizzou trails the all-time series 21-13, the series is tied 8-8 when the contest is played in Columbia.
Defensively, Missouri is ranked 30th nationally in defensive rebounds per game.
Texas A&M enters Sunday at 8-7, including a 4-4 mark in SEC play, following a loss to No. 6 LSU.
The Aggies are coached by Joni Taylor who holds a 46-59 in her fourth season in College Station.
Texas A&M's roster is headlined by senior guard Ny'Ceara Pryor who averages 15.1 points per game.
Junior forward Fatmata Janneh contributes 11.7 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest.
Sunday will mark the 35th meeting between the programs with the Aggies holding a 21-13 edge in the all-time series. The series has been evenly split in Columbia, where the teams are tied 8-8.
