Mizzou women's basketball fell 82-61 to No. 18 Ole Miss on Thursday night at Mizzou Arena.
Junior guard Grace Slaughter led the team on both ends of the court with 21 points and seven rebounds.
Junior guard Shannon Dowell added 15 points, a trio of rebounds and three steals to the Mizzou (13-9, 1-6 SEC) effort.
Senior guard Saniah Tyler contributed nine points and three boards.
The contest began as a low-scoring affair as defense dominated the opening minutes. Senior forward Jordana Reisma banked in consecutive layups and sparked a 6-2 Tigers' run that gave Mizzou a one-point lead nearly seven minutes in.
Ole Miss (17-4, 4-2 SEC) added a basket in the closing seconds of the first quarter and took a 13-12 lead.
In the early moments of the second quarter, junior guard Shannon Dowell ignited a 6-0 Tigers' scoring run with a layup. Reisma bookended the run with a fast-break bucket.
Ole Miss responded with a 6-0 run of their own, which was extinguished by a pair of Dowell free throws that sent Mizzou into the half trailing the Rebels 29-23.
The Tigers opened the third quarter with another 6-0 run that was sparked by a Slaughter layup. The scoring charge evened the score at 29.
The Rebels matched with a response run before Chloe Sotell buried a triple midway through the frame.
Ole Miss utilized a scoring push in the back half of the frame to take a 49-39 lead into the fourth.
Mizzou fought throughout the fourth to battle back into the contest, but every basket was matched by the visitors. Slaughter scored 10 of her total in the final frame, but the effort was not enough as the Rebels closed out the game.
