Jenna Marston and Vock led the Tigers with two hits each, while Ashley Fleming drove home a team-best two RBI.
Nebraska had the first chance of the game, but Rhea Taylor kept the game scoreless by robbing a home run in the bottom of the third. With one out, Madison Drake hit a high liner to the left of center field but Taylor went up and brought it back.
The Tigers had a chance in the top of the fourth, putting a runner on third with two outs. Nicole Hudson led off the inning with a single, just the second hit of the game. Taylor Duplechain came in to pinch run and moved up to second on a sacrifice bunt, and took third on a ground out. However, Ashley Hagemann worked a pop out to strand the runner in scoring position.
Missouri finally put a run on the board in the top of the fifth, coming off the bat of Vock. Vock delivered her fourth home run of the season on the first pitch she saw, putting the Tigers up 1-0. The Morrison, Ill., native had just two career home runs through her first three years as a Tiger.
A little dribbler right out in front of the plate by Nikki Haget broke up Thomas' no hitter in the sixth inning. The hit, which traveled about three feet, came with two outs in the inning.
Mizzou tacked on some insurance runs in the top of the seventh, as they pushed across three runs on four hits in the inning. Megan Christopher and Vock led off with back-to-back singles, and with one out Jenna Marston singled into left to load the bases. Ashley Fleming followed with a base hit up the middle, plating two, and Hudson added a sacrifice fly to put the Tigers up 4-0.
Nebraska scored their first run of the game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, as they drew two out walks. Heidi Foland singled up the middle, just off the glove of a diving Vock at second base, allowing the runner to score.
The Tigers return home for a single game against SIU-Edwardsville this Wednesday, beginning at 3 p.m. CT. It will be Missouri's "Power in Pink" game, as the Tigers will support breast cancer research and awareness.
