2011: In her first year as a Tiger, Duplechain appeared 18 times on the season. For the year, she finished 3-for-11, good for a .273 average, with an RBI and six runs scored. She got her first start against Illinois on March 12 as the designated player, where she scored her first career run after reaching on a fielder's choice. Her first collegiate hit came the following day, again against Illinois. Pinch hitting with two outs in the bottom of the sixth, Duplechain singled through the left side, scoring teammate Brianna Corwin to give Missouri the walk-off, run-rule victory. The following week at the Wilson Classic in Columbia, Duplechain picked up two more hits. She singled and scored on March 18 against Western Michigan, and picked up another base hit against North Dakota State the following day.
Glenda Dawson: Played center field for the Eagles, where she was selected as MVP her sophomore year, Newcomer of the Year and Best Offensive Player her junior year and picked as a Houston Area All-Star her senior year. She also played two years of club ball, competing for the Missouri City Magic Gold. Along with softball, Duplechain was also a state-qualifying sprinter for her high school track team. Was selected to Top Teens of America, a co-educational program which includes cultural, academic and civic activities, volunteer service projects and other worthwhile community endeavors.
Personal: The daughter of Lawrence Duplechain and Patricia George, Duplechain was born on Dec. 16, 1992 in Austin, Texas. Her father, Lawrence, attended the Naval Academy, while her mother, Patricia, graduated from Prairie View A&M. Duplechain has three older siblings, Antoine (36), Teno (31) and Monique (26). Chose Mizzou over Houston, Baylor and Texas Tech. Duplechain is undecided on her major.
