Lamb joins the Tigers after starting 12 games for the Gamecocks last season.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou softball has added transfer RHP Nealy Lamb (Cades, S.C./Williamsburg Academy) from South Carolina, head coach Larissa Anderson announced on Wednesday, June 17.
Lamb joins the Tigers after wrapping up her junior campaign in the SEC with the Gamecocks.
"Nealy brings something that is incredibly valuable to our program, she knows what it takes to win in the SEC. She has competed at the highest level of college softball and understands the daily commitment, toughness, and consistency required to succeed in this conference," Anderson said. "What excites me most is that I believe her best softball is still ahead of her."
The incoming senior will add depth to the Mizzou bullpen, as she struck out 47 batters in 59.1 innings while recording a 4.37 ERA last season. Lamb also started 12 games, including a start against Tennessee in which she threw a season-high four innings, allowing two runs to a top-ranked Lady Volunteers squad.
Before joining South Carolina, Lamb pitched her first year at Charleston Southern in the Big South Conference. As a starter for the Buccaneers, she was the player in Big South history to be named Big South All-Freshman, Freshman of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference in the same season. Over the course of the year, she posted a 1.78 ERA with a 12-9 record, along with 130 strikeouts in 137.2 innings.
Lamb becomes Mizzou's first transfer this summer ahead of the 2027 season.
