2010: Had her best defensive year yet, committing just one error in 268 chances for a fielding percentage of .996. Appeared in 54 of the team's 64 games, starting 35 times with 31 of those coming behind the plate. In the third game of the year, Christopher helped propel the Tigers to a 9-0 run-rule win over No. 2 Alabama with her 2-for-3 performance at the plate, while also doubling and bringing home a career-best four runs batted in. The following week, against No. 2 Arizona, Christopher lifted the Tigers to a doubleheader split after putting together a perfect 3-for-3 game, scoring twice and driving home a pair. Her home run against No. 4 Michigan at the NFCA Leadoff Classic helped the Tigers to a 2-1 extra inning victory. Hit a solo home run against Southern Illinois on April 14. Her third home run of the season came against Central Methodist in a 5-0 victory.
2009: Megan Christopher hit the second most home runs of her teammates (eight) in 2009, five coming against Big 12 opponents, a mark good enough for fourth-best in the league. In 45 starts, Christopher was credited with 27 RBI and scored 15 runs, nine against Conference foes. At catcher, Christopher led the team with putouts (263) and tallied the eighth-best slugging percentage of the Big 12 Conference (.659), in league games alone. Taking on Oklahoma State in Missouri's Big 12 Championship opener May 9, in Oklahoma City, Okla., Christopher tied her season best RBI mark of three, offering up sacrifice flies in the second and third inning and singling in the first en route to Missouri's 10-0 shutout of the Cowgirls. Earlier in the campaign, Christopher recorded a 3-for-4 showing against Texas Tech, scoring two runs and credited with three RBI. Honors: Big 12 Tournament Team, All-Big 12 Second Team, Academic All-Big 12 First Team, Player of the Week.
2008: In her first season with the Tigers, Christopher made 14 starts as Missouri's catcher totaling 188 putouts on the campaign. Catching in Missouri's game against Boston University, Christopher recorded a season high 13 putouts. Christopher finished the season managing three games in which she tallied double digit putouts. At the plate, Christopher hit her first career home run as a Tiger on March 14 against North Dakota State, crushing her second long ball, April 9, against instate opponent Saint Louis. Christopher made 32 starts in her freshman year and was 9-1 when batting from the eight hole.
Wright City: A catcher on the Wildcat softball team, Christopher was coached by Phil Burdett from 2003-05 and Fred Ross for the remainder of her high school career. Over the course of four years, Christopher was recognized as a four-time first team all-conference and all-district member earning first team all-region honors her junior (2006) and senior seasons (2007). In addition, Christopher was recognized as a second team all-state selection her junior year (2006) and received Defensive Player of the Year accolades for her work on the field. As a senior, Christopher was named to the first team-all state and was awarded Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. Tabbed the Female Athlete of the Year and Post Dispatch Scholar Athlete of the Year, Christopher broke 12 schools records and earned 12 letters (basketball, track and field and softball) before graduating. Christopher tacked on additional all-district and all-conference honors as a member of the track and field team and girl's basketball programs. Over the summer, Christopher was a member of the Missouri Warcats, coached by Jim Lowry, and Renegades Gold, coached by Don Havner, club softball teams.
Personal: The daughter of David and Sandra Christopher, Megan has a twin brother David (21), as well as a younger sister Katelyn (16) and brother Kyle (12). Christopher was born Oct. 30, 1988, in Lake Saint Louis, Mo., and is an elementary education major.
