
Seventh-Ranked Gymnastics Scores 197.225 at No. 3 Alabama

Four Tigers posted personal-best scores.
No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics earned its second score of at least 197.000 this season in its road meet at No. 3 Alabama, falling 197.500-197.225 on Friday evening at Coleman Coliseum.
The Tigers (4-2, 0-2 SEC) topped the Crimson Tide (2-1, 1-1 SEC) on balance beam, 49.400–49.300, tying their season high on the apparatus.
SHOWSTOPPERS
Multiple Tigers posted career-best scores, highlighted by Railey Jackson's (Park Forest, Ill.) 9.950 on balance beam to share the event title with Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.), who reached the mark for the third time this season.
Kimarra Echols (Henderson, Nev.) had one of the best performances of her freshman season, posting 9.950 on bars and 9.900 on vault to achieve her personal high on both events. Kaia Tanskanen (Howell, Mich.) notched 9.925 on the floor exercise for the sophomore's career best on floor.
"I thought we had a lot of great things tonight," head coach Shannon Welker said. "We put a lot of corrections in that we've been working on, and I think we did a good job of staying united as a team as we moved through the evening and finished out strong."

BARS
-Echols anchored the rotation for the first time when she posted her career-best score.
-Missouri saw four-consecutive scores of 9.850 on uneven bars from Kelly, Makayla Green (Mays Landing, N.J.), Maiya Terry (Coeur D'Alene, Idaho) and Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.).
-Terry made her collegiate debut in the rotation, going fourth.
-The Tigers totaled 49.250 on the apparatus.
VAULT
-Echols earned the highest mark for the team with 9.900, going fourth.
-Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.) posted 9.850, her third-straight meet reaching or exceeding the mark.
-With a 9.875, Horton has reached the threshold on vault in all four meets this season.
-Ayla Acevedo (Virginia Beach, Va.) made her collegiate debut on the apparatus, scoring 9.800.
-Mizzou's second rotation on vault resulted in a 49.200 score.
FLOOR
-Tisler and Jackson opened the rotation for Mizzou, each scoring 9.850.
-Acevedo followed with 9.825.
-Tanskanen and Griffin both notched 9.925, competing fourth and fifth, respectively.
-The Tigers totaled 49.375 in their third rotation.
BEAM
-Amy Wier (St. Louis, Mo.) opened the final rotation for Missouri with a 9.825 on beam.
-The Tigers closed the meet with three scores of 9.900 or better, starting with Kelly's 9.900.
-Jackson and Lawrence capped off the evening with a pair of 9.925s.
-MU led UA by 0.075 heading into the Crimson Tide's final routine but ultimately fell after Alabama closed with a 9.975 on floor.
