Welcome to the 47th year of Tiger gymnastics at the University of Missouri! Last year was record-setting! Head coach Shannon Welker and coaches Whitney Snowden, Lacey Rubin and Jackie Terpak led the 2025 Tigers to the Final Four and a No. 3 ranking at the end of the season, the highest finish in program history. His leadership earned Coach Welker the SEC Coach of the Year, WCGA South Central Region Coach of the Year, and WCGA National Head Coach of the Year awards. Additionally, the WCGA announced that coaches Snowden, Rubin and Terpak were recognized with National Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Historic accomplishments in 2025 include a team score of 198.1 at home vs. Auburn, the highest score in program history, advancing to the night session of SEC Championships for the first time, Helen Hu winning the national championship on beam and the team advancing to its first NCAA Championship Final.
On top of breaking program history, gymnastics' third-place finish is the best by any Mizzou women’s program ever and marked the highest team finish by any MU team (men or women) since 2007 when the wrestling team placed third.
It was an exciting season that saw the team earn a 5-3 SEC record, secure an undefeated record at home for the first time in program history and three different gymnasts earn perfect 10s: Titarsolej on bars, Griffin on floor, and Hu on beam three times!
In the postseason, several Tigers earned event titles:
-Mara Titarsolej (SEC bars co-champion)
-Helen Hu (SEC beam champion, Seattle Regional beam champion and national champion, the program's first individual national champion)
-Amari Celestine (Seattle Regional vault champion)
-Hannah Horton (Seattle Regional bars co-champion).
In addition, four Tigers earned All-SEC honors:
-Mara Titarsolej
-Helen Hu
-Amari Celestine
-Jocelyn Moore
A record six Mizzou gymnasts were named WCGA Regular Season All-Americans:
First team:
-Helen Hu
-Mara Titarsolej
Second team:
-Amari Celestine
-Jocelyn Moore
-Kennedy Griffin
A record nine Tigers were named WCGA All-Americans for their postseason results:
First team:
-Helen Hu
-Mara Titarsolej
-Elise Tisler
Second team:
-Amari Celestine
-Hannah Horton
-Olivia Kelly
-Addison Lawrence
-Jocelyn Moore
Hu was also named SEC Specialist of the Year and Celestine the WCGA South Central Region Co-Gymnast of the Year.
The 2025 Tigers excelled in academics as well, with 17 gymnasts were named WCGA Scholastic All-Americans. The 2025 Academic All-District Team was selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
