
Women's Basketball set for Braggin' Rights Showdown With Illinois Wednesday

Mizzou Women's Basketball will take on Illinois in the annual Braggin' Rights showdown on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Mizzou Arena. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.
The Tigers look to extend their win streak after earning a fifth-straight victory against SIUE on Sunday.
Senior forward Jordana Reisma led in the scoring column on Sunday with 17 points and five rebounds.
Junior guards Grace Slaughter and Shannon Dowell both added 11 points.
Slaughter and Dowell lead the way offensively for the Tigers, ranking fourth and ninth in the SEC with 19.2 and 17.1 points per game, respectively.
Dowell and Slaughter are the first Mizzou duo to score in double figures in the first 11 games of a season in program history.
Dowell remains one of the top free-throw contributors in the NCAA and is tied for third in the nation with 54 made free throws.
As a team, Mizzou is ranked first in the SEC and 23rd nationally for free-throw percentage at 80.2.
The Tigers' 3-point percentage of 40.4 puts them at fifth in the NCAA and third in the SEC. Mizzou has assisted on 73-76 of its 3-point makes this season.
On National Signing Day, Missouri signed three top-100 recruits in Natalya Hodge (No. 54), Khloe Ford (No. 94) and Jada Maples (No. 95) in addition to Cecilie Brandimore and Ellie Mueller.
Illinois is 8-1 on the season following a win over Indiana on Saturday.
The Illini are coached by Shauna Green, who is in her fourth season at the helm with a 71-36 record.
Sophomore forward Berry Wallace leads the Illinois with 17.8 points per game.
Fans are encouraged to wear white to the cross-state rivalry. In addition, the contest also serves as Mizzou's healthcare appreciation game.
