COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 20 Mizzou gymnastics team closes the home portion of its schedule when it hosts No. 11 Minnesota, Ohio State and Lindenwood on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. CT. Following the meet, Mizzou will honor it's three-member senior class of Mary Nicholson, Morgan Porter and Aspen Tucker.
TIGER TIDBITS
- Mizzou stands at No. 20 in the RoadtoNationals.com national rankings, the first week of rankings based on National Qualifying Score (NQS)
- The Tigers also rank 15th nationally on vault (49.100), beam (49.115) and floor (49.250) and 21st on bars (49.035).
- Additionally, freshman Helen Hu is ranked fifth nationally on beam (9.930) and 12th on bars (9.900) and redshirt senior Morgan Porter is 16th on floor (9.900) and in the all-around (39.320).
- Last time out, Missouri matched its season-high with a 196.850 against LSU on Feb. 21.
- Mizzou's 49.350 on beam against LSU stands as the fourth-highest tally in school history.

- Hu and freshman Sienna Schreiber both notched 9.95s on bars to tie for the event title and match Mizzou's individual bars record at the Mardi Gras Invite.
LAST TIME OUT
- The No. 18 Mizzou gymnastics team matched its season-best score but narrowly lost to sixth-ranked LSU, 197.025-196.850, Friday night at the Hearnes Center. Mizzou's 196.850 matched the same score posted at Alabama two weeks ago.
- Freshman Helen Hu continued her breakout initial campaign in black and gold, winning the all-round title with a 39.475, which matched her career-high. Hu also won her fifth beam title of the season with a career-high 9.975, while redshirt senior Morgan Porter tied for the vault crown.
- Mizzou opened the meet on vault, posting a 49.200 thanks to five scores of 9.8 or higher. Porter set a season-best with a 9.9 to lead the Tigers and tie for the event win. Junior Gabrielle Gottula went 9.85, Hu and freshman Kambrie Brandt recorded 9.825s and sophomore Hannah McCrary added a 9.8.
- Porter again led the Tigers in the second rotation, as she went 9.875 to help Mizzou post a team score of 49.050 on bars. Hu was just behind with a 9.85 and senior Aspen Tucker earned a 9.825.
- The Tigers kept the meet close with a 49.350 on beam to enter the final rotation trailing LSU 147.625-147.600. The 49.350, which was the fourth-best beam score in program history, was bolstered by a career-best 9.975 from Hu. The freshman, who entered the meet ranked fifth nationally on the event, become only the third Tiger to earn a 9.975, joining Lauren Schwartzman and Britney Ward. Mizzou also got a 9.9 from Gottula, a career-high-tying 9.85 from McCrary, and a 9.825 from freshman Sienna Schreiber and a 9.8 from sophomore Alisa Sheremeta.
- McCrary and Schreiber both earned 9.875s on floor to help Mizzou closed the meet with a 49.250 on the event. Friday marked the fourth-straight meet the Tigers scored a 49.250 or better on the apparatus, as Mizzou is averaging 49.311 over that span. A 9.85 from Porter was joined by 9.825s from Gottula, Hu, Schreiber and Sheremeta. Despite Mizzou's strong floor score, LSU went 49.400 on beam to pull away with the victory.

MISSOURI RANKED 20TH IN NATIONAL POLL
- Mizzou comes in at No. 20 in this week's national rankings with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.230.
- The NQS is is calculated by taking a team's top six scores, three of which must be from road or neutral meets. The highest score is dropped and the remaining five are averaged.
- The Tiger also rank 15 on vault, beam and floor and 21st on bars.
- Individually, freshman Helen Hu is ranked fifth nationally on beam (9.930) and 12th on bars (9.900).
- Additionally, redshirt senior Morgan Porter is 16th on floor (9.900) and in the all-around (39.320).
HU NAMED SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
- Freshman Helen Hu was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week on Feb. 25. It marks Hu's fourth SEC weekly honor this season, as she claimed Freshman of the Week accolades on Jan. 7 and Specialist of the Week honors on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28.
- Hu won the all-around and beam titles in Mizzou's meet against LSU on Feb. 21. She claimed her first career all-around title with a personal-best-tying 39.475 and won her fifth beam crown of the year with a career-best 9.975. The 9.975 was her seventh beam score of 9.9 or higher in eight meets this season and tied for the third-best individual score on the event in program history. Hu also set a personal-best on vault with a 9.825 and scored a 9.85 on bars and 9.825 on floor in the meet.
- Overall, the freshman leads Mizzou with nine titles on the year, five on beam, three on bars and one in the all-around. She currently ranks fifth nationally on beam (9.930 NQS) and 12th on bars (9.900 NQS).
MIZZOU TIES BARS RECORD AT MARDI GRAS INVITE
- Mizzou concluded the Mardi Gras Invite with a 49.400 on bars, which matched the program record on the event.
- The Tigers also went 49.400 on bars at the Texas Woman's Invite on March 12, 2004.
- The team was paced by a pair of 9.95s from freshmen Helen Hu and Sienna Schreiber. Those scores also tied Mizzou's individual bars record.
- Schreiber's previous career-best on the event was 9.8, while Hu also tallied a 9.95 on bars against Florida on Jan. 17.
FLOOR A STRENGTH
- Floor has become a strength over the last four meets for Mizzou.
- During that stretch, the Tigers are averaging 49.213 on the event
- Mizzou's floor average was 48.994 the first four meets of the season.
- Three Tigers average at least a 9.34 so far this year. Senior Morgan Porter leads with a 9.891, freshman Sienna Schreiber has a 9.858 and sophomore Hannah McCrary averages a 9.834.
TIGERS POST SEASON-BEST SCORE AT ALABAMA
- Mizzou erupted for a season-best high 196.850 at Alabama on Feb. 7.
- The 196.850 stands as the second-highest road score in program history.
- The Tigers compiled event scores of 49.350 on floor, 49.300 on beam, 49.250 on vault and 48.950 on bars.
- It marked the first time in program history Missouri scored 49.250 or higher on vault, beam and floor in the same meet.
MIZZOU POSTS SECOND-BEST ROAD SCORE IN PROGRAM HISTORY
- Mizzou's 196.850 at Alabama was the second-best road score in program history.
- The 196.850 trails just the 197.475 at the Texas Woman's Invite on March 12, 2004
- The 196.850 edged out a 196.750 Missouri posted at Florida on Feb. 24, 2017.
- Additionally, Missouri's 49.300 on beam at Alabama was the eighth-best beam total in school history.
FRESHMEN MAKING THEIR IMPACT
- Eight meets into the 2020 season, Mizzou's freshmen class has made an impact
- So far, freshmen have made up 35.9 percent of the team's routines, with 69 of the 192 total coming from the class.
- Overall, the 69 routines by the freshmen led the team, followed by 45 from the senior class, 45 from the sophomore class and 33 from the junior class.
PORTER ENJOYING STELLAR SENIOR SEASON
- Redshirt senior Morgan Porter is competing some of her most consistent gymnastics of her colelge career.
- Porter currently ranks tied for 16th nationally on floor and 16th nationally in the all-around.
- Over her last four meets, Porter is averaging 39.433 in the all-around over the last three meets.
- Overall, she has season-best scores of 9.925 on floor, 9.9 on vault, 9.875 on bars and beam and 39.450 in the all-around.
HU ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST BEAM WORKERS
- Freshman Helen Hu stands as one of the top beam workers.
- Hu currently ranks fifth nationally on the event with an National Qualifying Score of 9.930.
- She has tallied a 9.9 or better on beam in seven of eight meets this season, with one 9.975, three 9.95s and three 9.9s.
- Hu scored a career-best 9.975 on beam against LSU on Feb. 21 to become only the third Tiger in program history to reach that mark, joining Lauren Schwartzman and Britney Ward.
