COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Tigers open their 2018 home Southeastern Conference schedule this weekend with No. 20 Mississippi State visiting Mizzou Softball Stadium.
The Tigers and Bulldogs will play three games over three days, beginning with Friday evening's series opener at 6:30 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the action live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN with Ben Arnet and former Mizzou Softball catcher Kirsten Mack on the call.
Saturday and Sunday's matchups will both air on SEC Network with Trey Bender and Carol Bruggeman serving as the announcing duo. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT and noon C.T., respectively.
Adult general admission and bleacher tickets are available for $8 while youth/senior tickets are $5 each. Reserved chair back seats behind home plate can be purchased for $10. Single-game tickets are available the day of at the Mizzou Softball ticket booth, by calling the Mizzou Athletics ticket office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS or by visiting MUTigers.com/Tickets.

Series History vs. Mississippi State
- Mizzou leads the all-time series over Mississippi State, 10-2.
- In their last SEC series meeting, the Tigers tallied a three-game sweep over the Bulldogs in Starkville, Mississippi (April 29 – May 1, 2016).
- In the teams' last series in Columbia, Missouri (April 10-12, 2015), Mizzou claimed wins in two-of-three games.
Sanchez Continues to Climb Program Record Book
- With a hit and three walks across Wednesday's doubleheader versus Illinois, Amanda Sanchez extended her safely reached base streak to 25 games. That total now ranks as the T-6th longest such streak in Mizzou Softball history.
- Sanchez and Cayla Kessinger's streak of 24 consecutive games earlier this season (and dating back to conclusion of 2017 campaign) both check-in top-10 all-time in program history.
- In Mizzou career individual rankings, Sanchez enters this weekend ranked top-10 in batting average (.371 // fifth), home runs (30 // ninth) and slugging percentage (.625 // fourth). Her 127 RBI are only 11 away from cracking the top-10.
