Mizzou Travels to Nashville to Take On Vanderbilt and Begin Road Stretch
- Mizzou is coming off its fourth win in program history against a team ranked in the top four of the AP poll. Before Sunday's victory over No. 4 South Carolina, the last such win came against No. 4 Baylor when the Tigers won 64-61 on Jan. 4, 2006.
- After a season-opening loss, Mizzou ripped off 13 consecutive wins. The stretch made history, matching the longest streak in program history and the longest since 2015, when Mizzou opened the 2015-16 campaign with 13 consecutive victories. The Tigers also secured 13 straight victories from Jan. 30, 1985 to March 9, 1985.
- The Tigers have been dominant at home. They have won 13 of their past 14 games at home. Mizzou has won 22 of its last 24 games at home and 38 of the last 43.
- Mizzou's 14-2 start matches its best start through 16 games in program history. The Tigers also won 14 of their first 16 games in 2015-16, 1983-84 and 1982-83. With two more wins, in the next two games at Vanderbilt and at Ole Miss, Mizzou would claim its first 16-2 start in program history.
- Mizzou is now 6-0 against Top 25 teams at Mizzou Arena since Jan. 4, 2016.
- Mizzou is one of nine teams in the nation that rank in the Top 25 in both field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense (alongside UConn, Baylor, Duke, West Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Iowa and Oregon State). The Tigers are 30th in the Division I in field goal percentage, shooting 46.6 percent, and 15th in field goal percentage defense, limiting opponents to 35.1 percent shooting.
- Mizzou allows the fewest rebounds per game in the nation, as opponents grab just 29.5 per game.
- Mizzou has held opponents under 60 points 12 times this season and the Tigers are 12-0 in those contests. They've done so in 11 of the past 13 games. Only LSU & South Carolina have scored more than 59 points against Mizzou since Wright State on Nov. 16. The Tigers are the only SEC team that has held opponents under 60 points at least 12 times. Mizzou held opponents under 60 points just 11 times all of last season.
- The Tigers rank fifth in the SEC in field goal percentage defense (35.1%) and fourth in field goal percentage (46.7%). Mizzou is one just three teams in the SEC to rank in the top five in the league in both categories, alongside Tennessee and South Carolina.
- Mizzou has had a higher field goal percentage than its opponent in 15 of its 16 games.
- Mizzou held South Carolina All-American A'ja Wilson to just eight points on seven shots. The reigning National Player of the Year entered averaging more than 24 points per game.
- In the last six games, she has scored 141 points in 171 minutes on only 67 field goal attempts.
- Cunningham is arguably the most efficient player in the SEC this season. She is one of six players in the league who have scored more than 280 points. The other five have attempted more than 200 shots this season. Cunningham has only attempted 152. She ranks second in the SEC in free throw pct. (.861) and leads in 3-point field goal pct. shooting 50 percent (2nd in the nation).
- With 1,271 points & counting, she ranks 18th on Mizzou's all-time scoring list and fifth among active SEC players.
- Cunningham is the only player in the nation shooting at least 50 percent from 3-point range, 86 percent from the free throw line and 59 percent from the field.
