COLUMBIA, Mo. – Following a week off, Mizzou Women's Golf continues its Spring 2017 schedule this weekend (March 24-26) with the LSU Tiger Classic. The Tigers' opening round is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. (CT) Friday morning in Baton Rouge, La.
The Tigers are one of 15 teams competing this weekend at the University Golf Club. Mizzou will be joined by Arkansas, Clemson, Denver, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, LSU, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Southern Methodist, Tulane, UNC-Wilmington, UTSA and Washington.
Mizzou last competed at the LSU Tiger Classic in 2015. This will mark the Tigers' fourth appearance in the tournament in the past five years.

Allen & Yuen Enjoying Individual Success
- Sophomore Emma Allen and freshman Jessica Yuen have been the Tigers' most consistent golfers over the 2016-17 campaign, ranking 14th and 17th respectively in the latest Southeastern Conference GolfStat.com individual rankings.
- Allen currently sits with a 72.35 average score this year, while Yuen has produced a 72.76 average round.
- Allen has shot even or under par in four of six tournaments this season, while Yuen has accomplished the same feat on three occasions.
Mizzou Opens 2017 Spring Schedule With Top 5 Finish
- On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Tigers wrapped up their Spring 2017 tournament opener in Tallahassee, Fla. Mizzou finished in fifth place overall at the Florida State Match-Up.
- The Tigers turned in a top 5 team performance for the second time this 2016-17 season, joining their first place finish at the 2016 Johnie Imes Invitational.
- Mizzou concluded its Florida State Match-Up with its top round of the tournament, shooting even par (288).
- Meek delivered her top single round of the 2016-17 season thus far, firing a 2-under (70) final round at Don Veller Seminole Golf Club.
- Meek's T-25th final individual finish marked a new single season high.
- Yuen recorded her second consecutive round of 1-over (73) to conclude her respective tournament. Her final even par (216) weekend placed T-13th overall. It marked her third top 15 individual finish and fourth top 25 individual finish this season.
Tigers Enjoyed Standout Fall 2016 Season
- From Oct. 3-4 in Columbia, Mo., Mizzou claimed top honors at the 2016 Johnie Imes Invitational, marking its third consecutive team victory at the event.
- Mizzou's 864 team score at the Johnie marked the program's third-lowest all-time 54-hole team total.
- The Tigers continued their success the following week at the Jim West Challenge (Oct. 9-10), shooting an 878 total score, marking the ninth-lowest all-time 54-hole score in program history.
- Mizzou tallied two top 10 all-time 18-hole team scores this fall (282 at Johnie Imes – seventh lowest, 283 at Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown – tied for ninth lowest).
- Since the Fall 2015 season began (1.5-year span), Mizzou has produced three team tournament wins.
- The Tigers continue to show substantial improvement overall, as they claimed only three team victories the previous five years (Fall 2009 – Fall 2013).
