
Women's Golf Selected to Stanford Regional

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women's golf will play in the Stanford regional from May 11-13, following the NCAA selection show on Wednesday.
Mizzou earned the 5th seed in the regional, marking the first appearance as a team since 2017-18.
The postseason continues a record year for the Tigers, who claimed four tournament titles, the most since the 1987-88 season.
In the past four seasons under head coach Caroline Weetrup Gaeta, the Tigers have risen from 120th in the national rankings to 31st.
Individually, three Tigers are on pace to break the program record for stroke average, led by freshman Ebba Liljeberg at 71.48.
Joining Mizzou in the regional, along with host Stanford in seed order, will be Pepperdine, Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Arizona, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois, Oregon State, Cal Poly, South Dakota State and Navy.
The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site will advance to play in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. The teams will play 18 holes each day
