
@MUWomensGolf Wraps Up Day One at LSU Tiger Classic

Freshman Jessica Yuen places 12th individually following opening 36 holes
BATON ROUGE, La. – Following a schedule adjustment due to forecasted inclement weather Saturday, Mizzou Women's Golf opened play at the 2017 LSU Tiger Classic with two rounds Friday. The Tigers collectively shot 28-over (604: 300-304) on the day and will enter Sunday's final round T-10th in the team standings.
Freshman Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) paced Mizzou's individual competitors Friday, shooting a 2-over (146: 72-74). Yuen sits alone in 12th place following two rounds of play.
Senior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland) and sophomore Emma Allen (Southampton, England) are T-29th in the individual rankings, as each shot 7-over for the day. Each Tiger produced matching 75 first rounds and 76 second round results.
Yuen and Allen particularly shined on par fives Friday, posting 4-under and 3-under scores, respectively. Yuen also paced all Tigers golfers with seven birdies over her opening 36 holes.
The third and final round of this year's LSU Tiger Classic is scheduled for Sunday, March 26. Golfers will begin teeing off at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on the University Golf Club.
