
Women's Golf Earns Highest Finish at SEC Championship Since 2019

Belleair, Fla. – Mizzou women's golf wrapped up play at the SEC Championship Sunday, recording a 54-hole team score of 844, its record best total at the event.
The Tigers closed the tournament with their record low 18-hole team score of 277, beating the previous total of 279 set on Saturday by posting the second best score of the day.
Mizzou's record setting three-day total of 844 is 25 shots better than the program's previous record of 869, set last season. They finished in 9th place out of 16 teams ahead of No. 6 Arkansas, No. 23 South Carolina, No. 31 Kentucky and No. 32 LSU. This marks Mizzou's first top-10 victory of the season and their highest finish at the SEC Championship since 2018.
Freshman Ella Liljeberg finished at even-par (68-72-70) in 16th individually, the highest finish from a Tiger since Sophia Yoemans finished in 12th in 2022. Her 54-hole score of 210 marks the lowest at the SEC Championship in program-history. She found success over all three days by finding a team high nine birdies throughout the event.
Senior Addie Dobson finished just one shot behind on the tournament after posting a final-round two-under 68 (73-70-68) to finish in 19th. Her 211 ties the second-lowest three-day total of her career.
Sophomore Alexandra Berglund had a strong outing, recording a two-under 68 to best her career-low round by two shots. She led the team on the day with six birdies, finding three on the front and back in the final round.
Senior Melanie Walker turned in a one-over 73 to finish in 31st (72-70-71) at three-over on the tournament. Her strong performance was bolstered by eight birdies over the three days, posting the second most on the team.
Overall, this marks the second-straight season with three Tigers finishing the SEC Championship inside the top-50.
Jade Zamora turned in a six-over 76 in the final round (75-67-76) to finish in 52nd.

Mizzou is poised to compete in the NCAA Regionals for the second-consecutive season from May 11-13. The NCAA selection show will be be broadcast on Golf Channel at 3 p.m. on April 29.
