COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 11 Missouri gymnastics team squares off against No. 2 LSU on Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. CT in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network +.

- The Tigers also rank seventh nationally on vault, tied for ninth on floor, tied for 15th on beam and 22nd on bars
- Missouri reached the 196 mark for the third time in five meets in the Tigers' 197.075-196.075 loss at then-No. 12 Georgia on Jan. 27
- For only the second time in program history, Missouri has three scores of 196 or higher in its first four meets of the season. The 2004 squad is the only other team to accomplish the feat
- Mizzou tallied a season-best floor total of 49.225 as all six competitors earned scores of 9.8 or higher

- Mizzou broke the program vault record against Lindenwood and Southeast Missouri with a team total of 49.425, besting the old high of 49.375 set in 2004
- The Tigers opened the 2017 season with a score of 196.225 and wins over then-No. 24 Illinois (194.200) and Ball State (193.625) on Jan. 6. Missouri's score stands as the highest opening-meet score in Tiger history, besting the old high of 195.350 set in 2016 and 2004
- Mizzou's 2017 slate is ranked the fourth-toughest in the country entering the season, behind only SEC foes Georgia, Auburn and Alabama
- Missouri returned every single routine from the 2016 season. Last year, the freshman class led the way with 181 total routines, followed by the sophomore class with 108 and the junior class with 23.
- Head Coach Shannon Welker enters his fourth season at the helm of the Tiger program. In his first three years in Columbia, Welker has Mizzou back in the national spotlight. In 2016, the Tigers posted their highest NCAA Regional finish (third) since 2010 and finished the season ranked 19th nationally, ahead of Southeastern Conference foes Arkansas and Kentucky. Additionally, Missouri recorded three scores of at least 196.625 or higher during the year in 2016, only the second time Mizzou accomplished that in the 37 year history of the program.

- Missouri holds steady at No. 11 in this week's RoadToNational's national rankings, released on Monday
- The Tigers have stayed in the top 11 in all four in-season rankings, as they checked in at sixth (Jan. 9), eighth (Jan. 16) and 11th (Jan. 23 and Jan. 30)
- Mizzou entered the season at No. 19 in the preseason rankings
- In addition to its total team ranking, Missouri also ranks seventh nationally on vault, tied for ninth on floor, tied for 15th on beam and 22nd on bars
MISSOURI POSTS SEASON-HIGH FLOOR TOTAL AT GEORGIA
- At Georgia on Jan. 27 Missouri posted a season-high floor score of 49.225
- All six Tigers scored at least a 9.8 on the event
- Junior Kennedi Harris paced the Tigers with a 9.9, her third-straight floor score of at least 9.9
- Two other Tigers, junior Becca Schugel and sophomore Madeleine Huber, set or tied their career highs
- Schugel went 9.875 to tie her personal-best, while Huber set a new career-high with a 9.850
TIGERS VAULTING UP A STORM
- The Tigers ranks as the nation's seventh-best vault team four weeks into the season
- So far this year, Missouri has scored at least a 49.225 in three of four meets and reached the 49.000 mark four times
- Mizzou started the trend with a 49.225 at Arkansas on Jan. 13, set a program-record 49.425 in the State of Missouri Meet on Jan. 15, and again went 49.225 against Alabama on Jan. 20
- Sophomore Britney Ward leads the Tigers and is tied for 19th nationally with a vault average 9.875
- Ward tied her personal-best of 9.925 at Arkansas, then upped it to a 9.950 against Alabama a week later
MIZZOU OWNS NATION'S FOURTH-TOUGHEST SCHEDULE
- Heading into the season, the Tigers' schedule was rated the fourth-toughest in the nation
- The strength of schedule was calculated by reverse assigning points to each team based on their final 2016 final ranking (example: No. 1 Oklahoma is worth 82 points, No. 2 LSU 81 points, etc.). Additionally, only the highest-ranked team at each meet is used to assign points for that particular meet
- Every single home meet features at least one opponent ranked in the preseason top 25
- Missouri's schedule ranks behind only Southeastern Conference foes Georgia, Auburn and Alabama
MIZZOU TALLIES THIRD 196 SCORE OF THE YEAR
- Mizzou's 196.075 at Georgia on Jan. 27 marked the team's third score of 196 or higher in five meets so far this season

HARRIS STEADY AS THEY COME
- Junior Kennedi Harris has been solid as a rock so far in 2017
- In the vault and floor lineups every meet this season, eight of her 10 routines have gone for at least a 9.8
- Harris is tied for the team lead with four 9.9 scores, including scores of 9.925, 9.9 and 9.9 on floor in the last three weeks
- She also has tallies of 9.875, 9.9, 9.825 and 9.875 on vault over the last four meets
TUCKER TAKES ALL-AROUND CROWN AGAINST ALABAMA
- Freshman Aspen Tucker claimed her second all-around crown of the young season as she earned the win against the Crimson Tide on Jan. 20
- Tucker recorded a career-best total of 39.325 thanks to a stellar night on every event
- She notched indivdiual event personal-bests on floor (9.850) and bars (9.825) and also posted scores of 9.850 on vault and 9.800 on beam
- Tucker also won the all-around in Mizzou's first meet of the season, after she went 39.175 against Illinois and Ball State
MISSOURI BREAKS SCHOOL VAULT RECORD
- Missouri's State of Missouri Meet win against host Lindenwood and Southeast Missouri on Jan. 15 was highlighted by a new program record for the Tigers
- The squad closed the meet with a 49.425 on vault, the highest output on the event in program history
- Mizzou bested the old mark of 49.375, which was set at the Texas Women's Invite on March 12, 2004
- The Tigers only used five gymnasts to notch the 49.425, led by a career-best 9.950 (out of 9.950) by sophomore Morgan Porter
- Other Tiger scores included a 9.900 from junior Kennedi Harris, 9.875 from freshman Aspen Tucker and 9.850s from senior Angie Kern and sophomore Madeleine Huber
9.9 SCORES STARTING TO PILE UP
- The Tigers have racked up 10 scores of 9.9 or higher over the first five meets of 2017
- Sophomore Britney Ward owns four of those seven 9.9s, as she had a 9.950 on vault against Alabama, 9.925 on vault against Arkansas, a 9.925 on beam in the State of Missouri Meet and a 9.900 on beam at Georgia
- Junior Kennedi Harris has four of her own, as she went 9.925 on floor and a 9.900 on vault in the State of Missouri Meet and 9.900 on floor against both Alabama and Georgia
- Additionally, sophomore Morgan Porter notched a career-high 9.950 on vault in the State of the Missouri Meet and sophomore Madeleine Huber recorded a 9.925 on bars in the season-opener
