Missouri head coach Cindy Stein
"I thought that overall I was very proud of our young ladies. I thought that their intensity, their effort and their focus tonight was something that we've been wanting a long time. It's comparable to how we prepared for the SMS game. If we can do this every night, that kind of preparation, we can be in every ballgame and definitely be competitive in our league."
Missouri junior guard Kerensa Barr
"I know that any team can be beat, especially at home in our conference, because it's so even. Our young players today, they stepped up and made big shots. Amy Loftus came in and made some big free throws. Angie (Carter) played unbelievable. We just had people make plays. I don't think it was necessarily a confidence thing because we think we can beat anyone in our conference, especially at home. It's fun to play at the Hearnes Center."
Texas Tech head coach Marsha Sharp
"It's a little frustrating, obviously, it's tough for us to handle what we're going through right now. I thought you had to give Missouri credit, they played well and made shots and made free throws, and those are all things we didn't do to at least have a last-shot opportunity to win. We shot the basketball much better - I thought Tarr got better looks - in the first half. We didn't get those looks in the second half. We got a little bit stagnant on offense. I think the bottom line for us is that it's hard to run offense when you have absolutely no post play and we're looking at that right now. To their credit, they really took advantage of that and took it to the paint, where we're weak and had people step up and score and we couldn't answer that."
