Head coach Cindy Stein on the Tigers' start: "I think South Carolina is a very good team and they came out ready to play. I don't think our kids did that as a whole. We haven't been preparing well in practice and that tends to trickle down to how you perform in game situations. It caught up to us today."
Stein on Missouri's second half, particularly shooting 51.6 percent (16-of-31): "Obviously, you want to take something positive away from the game. We need to get better in terms of our depth and having them come in and make contributions. We have a couple spots where we're not getting any contributions."
Evan Unrau on her first collegiate 3-point field goal: "I was playing on the perimeter. I had an opening and I took it."
And Unrau on her second: "Sure, my shot was going in so why not?"
Unrau on Saturday's game: "We need to realize that if we're not working hard in practice, it's going to show on the court. The saying 'you play like you practice' was evident today."
