SEC Revenue Comparison

The Why

College athletics has evolved at a super-charged pace over the past few years and will continue to do so. The reality is that this era of college athletics is going to be even more about resource development. With revenue sharing here to stay – which Mizzou Athletics is participating in at the highest levels to compete for championships – generating incremental revenues is going to be paramount. We will adapt to these changes with a “Will to Win,” and this also means we have to have an increased "will to invest."

For many years, Mizzou was hesitant to raise ticket prices. In 2024, our prices – particularly in football – were well under the market rate. As a result, we were well behind our peers in the SEC and regional Power 4 peers in revenue generation. To step back, in nine years from 2015-24, Mizzou had four athletics directors, inconsistent on-field performance, faced the global pandemic and the onset of the NIL/revenue-sharing era. While it was understandably difficult to establish the traction necessary to make these adjustments, it was time to modernize our approach to reflect current demands, while also providing more clarity and consistency to our fundraising model.

What's Next

Everyone “wants” to win, but we must demonstrate a true “will” to win where every evaluation and decision aligns with specific on-field outcomes that will excite and reward our fanbase tremendously.

Over the past two years, our staff has spent significant time analyzing our financial model, looking at pricing analytics, talking to peers and projecting revenues. We have adopted a data-driven approach to growing our revenues in this revenue-sharing era, so we can win at the highest level in the SEC. Revenues lead to reinvestment in our programs, coaches, athletes and fan experience. And that can lead to winning, increased engagement and increased pride in Mizzou. In turn, that can also dramatically impact University enrollment and the local and state economy.

Heading into the 2025-26 athletics year, we began by clarifying and simplifying the giving process so it was easy and straightforward for you to get involved. We also better encouraged, rewarded and recognized leadership philanthropy above and beyond ticket and parking minimums.

Prior to the 2026 Mizzou Football season, we continued to put our foot on the gas with a modest season ticket price increase that demonstrates our collective "Will to Win" -- increased investment that will go directly toward revenue sharing to help recruit and retain talented student-athletes and deliver the moments and memories fans expect. Parking was also overhauled, simplified, and clarified as the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project was finished.

All in all, we are asking you to join our Will to Win.

It will be our north star.

It’s time to “shoot the gap” and push harder than ever before to close the resource gap and be a leader in the new model of college athletics.

Football Seating & Parking

Mizzou Arena is the place to be each winter as Mizzou Basketball vies for SEC supremacy. The priority donation part of your Mizzou Men's Basketball season ticket renewal is separate from a football priority donation you might have. Women's basketball tickets do not require a priority donation.

Mizzou Athletics Fund

The Tiger Scholarship Fund is now known as the Mizzou Athletics Fund, which more accurately reflects how our generous supporters contribute to much more than scholarships.

The Mizzou Athletics Fund is made up of three pillars:

  • Game Day Priority: provides fans priority access to the seating and parking options they desire
  • The Mizzou Leadership Circle: recognizes and stewards our top donors who give above and beyond seat-related donations, and joining unlocks additional stewardship opportunities such as VIP events, team travel and special access
  • The Mizzou Legacy Societies: recognize lifetime philanthropic support of Mizzou Athletics

Mizzou Leadership Circle

The Mizzou Leadership Circle recognizes and stewards our top donors who give above and beyond seat-related donations, and joining unlocks additional stewardship opportunities such as VIP events, team travel and special access. Funds directly impact student-athletes, coaches and program success. • Prominent Recognition: in-game, print and website recognition, inclusion on Mizzou Leadership Circle “Walls of Recognition," prime naming opportunities

The Mizzou Legacy Societies recognize lifetime philanthropic support of Mizzou Athletics. Members of the Mizzou Legacy Societies have the ability to enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences and name recognitions, as well as numerous other stewardship opportunities suitable for their sustained support.

FAQ

Our previous season ticket and donation structure, where one donation applied to multiple sports, was outdated. We aimed to make it simpler for our fans to know what they are paying for and what they receive as part of their investment in Mizzou Athletics. Moving forward, someone who has both football and men’s basketball season tickets will pay a ticket price and a priority donation for football games and a separate ticket price and priority donation for men’s basketball games. This model, which is used by most of our peer athletics departments, also allows us to more accurately adjust prices by sport to give ourselves the best to not only keep up with our SEC peers but also outperform them in this revenue sharing era.

Our staff spent a significant amount of time analyzing our financial model, looking at pricing analytics, talking to peers and projecting revenues. This is a data-driven approach that is keeping the end goal in mind: helping simplify our structure and grow our revenues so we can win at the highest level in the SEC and share memorable Mizzou Moments together.

We have constructed a pricing model that provides the opportunity to grow our revenues to get us closer to our SEC and regional Power 4 peers. Total prices increased for most fans, to closer to the current market demand of our football tickets, although football season ticket holders in the Tiger Deck have seen steady costs. The get-in rate for Mizzou Football season tickets remains only $200, which reflects our mission of having an affordable entry point for fans. Overall, it was time for Mizzou to make the necessary infrastructure adjustments to grow revenues and focus resources on winning. Our goal is to approach each day with a “Will to Win” mindset, where every decision will be made with a very specific end goal in mind: winning.

Lot availability has changed heading into the 2026 football season due to the completion of the Memorial Stadium Centennial Project. With around 500 parking spaces reserved for premium North End Zone seating, substantial adjustments will take place across all lots this season. Parking qualifications per lot, and the overall selection process, is significantly different in 2026. Rest assured, each season ticket holder who meets the $250 minimum requirement in MAF Game Day Priority will have the opportunity to purchase a parking pass. The parking restructure also provides clarity to the parking allocation process.

The priority donations you pay with your football and men’s basketball tickets, in addition to any donation you make above and beyond, will still be aggregated to determine your parking lot qualification. For example, if your football tickets include a $1,000 priority donation, your men’s basketball tickets include a $1,000 priority donation, and you donate another $1,000, your total of $3,000 would be used to determine your parking lot qualification.

Ticket prices for men’s basketball for the 2025-26 season remained approximately the same as in 2024-25. Your new priority donation was reflected in the invoice you have received for 2025-26. Women's basketball season tickets do not require a priority donation.

Yes, interest free payment plans are available for both your season ticket cost and the associated priority donation. Payment plans remain a great way to split up the cost of your investment with Mizzou Athletics over multiple months. Payment plans for ticket costs must be fulfilled prior to the start of the respective season. Payment plans for priority donations will continue to be offered through the end of the associated calendar year. Please contact your representative for assistance in setting up a payment plan.

Reimagining the Tiger Scholarship Fund as the Mizzou Athletics Fund allows us to provide clarity to donors on many fronts and more accurately reflect the mission of this arm of the Mizzou Athletics Department. The Mizzou Athletics Fund is more than scholarship funding, although that remains a vital part of its charge. The Mizzou Athletics Fund is made up of three pillars: Game Day Priority, the Mizzou Leadership Circle and Mizzou Legacy Societies. Game Day Priority provides fans priority access to the seating and parking options they desire, joining the Mizzou Leadership Circle unlocks additional stewardship opportunities such as team travel and special access, and our Mizzou Legacy Societies recognize lifetime philanthropy and giving.
