BY THE SERIES

Mizzou leads the all-time series against Auburn, 16-13. The Tigers won the series earlier this season, sweeping Auburn in Alabama.
Head coach Larissa Anderson is 8-6 against the Auburn Tigers.
The Tigers are 1-2 against Auburn in the SEC tournament, with the last time the two faced in the tournament was back in 2022.

Mizzou needs to win the first round of the SEC Tournament in order to confirm an over .500 record and put them in contention for a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers are currently 40th in the NCAA RPI rankings.

PERFECTION

Junior Marissa McCann became the 13th Tiger in program history to throw a perfect game, as she went the full seven innings, allowing zero base runners and striking out 11 - one away from her career high - against SIUE.
This is Mizzou's first perfect game since Laurin Krings threw one back in 2022. It was also the first seven-inning perfect game for the Tigers since Chelsea Thomas threw one on April 2, 2011.
The Tigers have now thrown a perfect game and a no-hitter against SIUE, the first time that has happened against the same team in the same season in program history since 1991, and it's only the third time it's happened in Mizzou history.

NFCA FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR FINAL 25

Freshman Abby Carr was added to the NFCA Freshman of the Year Final 25 List, as she leads the Tigers in ERA (2.48), saves (5), home runs (12) and RBIs (43).
Carr's five saves is also sixth in the country.
The list will dwindle to 10 on May 7, before the finalists are announced on May 20, and then the winner is revealed on May 26.

LAST TIME OUT

The Tigers dropped two of the three games against No. 8/9 Tennessee during the final weekend of the regular season.
Mizzou won the final game in a do-or-die matchup that was needed to stay at .500. The Tigers overcame a one-run difference in the 6th inning, as freshman Abby Carr posted the game-tying RBI, and an error brought the go-ahead run in. Carr wrapped up the game on the mound and picked up the win.

THE TIGER DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE

Junior Abby Hay recorded her 100th career hit against Tennessee with a home run (5/2/26). Hay's father, John Hay, played baseball for the University of Missouri and also recorded his 100th career hit with a home run.

JUST THE BEGINNING

Redshirt freshman Saniya Hill produced her first career home run against Kansas City (Apr. 28).
Since joining the starting lineup against SIUE (Apr. 22), Hill is batting .391 - leading the team - and has produced four RBIs and tallied three extra-base hits.

ADDY "WALKS"

Freshman Addy Waits is currently tied for the fifth-most walks in a single season in program history with 41. She is five shy of tying the record and six away from breaking it.
The current record is held by Sami Fagan (2016) and Jenna Marston (2012).

BORDER SHOWDOWN RECAP

Mizzou came away with the win against Kansas (Apr. 15) in the Border Showdown. The Tigers earned a 4-2 victory, as junior Abby Hay hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to secure the victory in Lawrence.
Head coach Larissa Anderson is 6-3 against the Jayhawks.

NO-HITTER HISTORY

Senior RHP Cierra Harrison tossed her second career no-hitter against SIUE on Tuesday, March 24. In the five-inning victory over the Cougars, she struck out six, while allowing two walks.
This is the 48th no-hitter in Mizzou history, as Harrison threw the last one against Texas A&M-Commerce on Feb. 16, 2024. The Tigers ended up winning that game 1-0, as both teams no-hit each other with Mizzou scoring the lone run in the first inning.

WEEKLY WINNER

Freshman Abby Carr was named the SEC Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, March 31, after recording two saves and batting .500 for the week. Against Auburn, the freshman hit the go-ahead home run in the fifth inning of the series finale to complete the sweep.
Freshman Abby Carr was named the Softball America Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, March 24, after she pitched 4. 2 scoreless innings against No. 4/6 Alabama and recorded a save. She also finished the week with a .300 batting average, as she hit three home runs over the course of the weekend against the Crimson Tide. She blasted two of those in the series finale to give her, her first career multi-home run game.

NEAR PERFECTION - FIELDING

The Tigers rank first in the country in fielding percentage at .986.
This season Mizzou has only committed 22 errors and produced 25 double plays.
Notable players with a 1.000 fielding percentage is junior Abby Hay, sophomore Sophie Smith and freshman Sidney Forrester.

FRESHMAN SUCCESS

Freshmen Sidney Forrester and Abby Carr secured the first two multi-home run games for any Tigers hitters this season. Forrester recorded two in the second game against Illinois, while Carr hit two in the series finale against Alabama.
Carr and Forrester rank first and second on the team in home runs, as Carr has 11 and Forrester has 10 this season.

SHOWING OFF OUR STRENGTH - OF SCHEDULE

The Tigers currently rank No. 20 in the country for toughest schedule, after playing 23 ranked matchups - 8-15 in those games - this season.
Mizzou is set for its second-straight top-10 opponent as it is 2-9 this season against opponents within the top 10.

POWER MOMENTS

Against Illinois, the Tigers hit five home runs in the second game of the doubleheader. Mizzou's five home runs were the most this season, and the first time the Tigers have hit five home runs in a game since 2022.

ONE CLASS AHEAD

Freshman catcher Gracie Britton reclassified after her fall season in high school and joined the Tigers for their spring campaign.
In her first career at bat Britton legged out a single against UCF (Feb. 11).

SHOW ME MANAGEMENT

The Tigers' roster consists of 25 players, of whom nine are from the state of Missouri.
Boone County is well represented with freshman Gracie Britton (Ashland, Mo.), sophomore Madison Uptegrove (Columbia, Mo.) and junior Abby Hay (Columbia, Mo.).

DOUBLE TIME

Against Liberty the Tigers excelled in putting the ball into the gap as they had seven doubles as a team. This is the first time MU has posted that many in a game since records began to be tracked.

FRESHMAN WATCH LISTS

Three players made their way onto multiple freshman-to-watch lists, as Abby Carr, Sidney Forrester, and Addy Waits were selected to both the Softball America and D1Softball preseason lists.
Freshman RHP, Abby Carr, was the 2025 Gatorade Missouri Softball Player of the Year after posting a 23-0 record with 304 strikeouts and a .242 ERA across 144.2 innings. She was also a two-time Pitcher of the Year and three-time all-state selection in Missouri.
Freshman first baseman/outfielder, Sidney Forrester, was a three-time Oklahoma Class 4A-7 District Player of the Year and earned all-region, all-state accolades in high school. She dominated the level with a .545 batting average (.633 on-base percentage) with 180 hits, 159 RBIs, 46 home runs, 47 doubles, seven triples and 28 stolen bases.
Freshman third baseman, Addy Waits, was a three-time all-conference, all-state and all-district player in her high school career. She set numerous Lee's Summit West High School career records with 180 hits, a .563 on-base percentage, 42 doubles, 70 walks, 49 stolen bases and 157 runs.

TIGERS ON TV

Mizzou will have 10 national broadcast games, including two on the MLB Network during the opening tournament (Feb. 7, vs. Liberty at 12 p.m. CT; Feb. 8, vs. South Alabama at 12 p.m. CT).
The Tigers will play eight conference ESPN affiliate games, with two on the ACC Network during the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational.
The following eight games will be broadcast on the SEC Network, with Mizzou hosting three.
