
No. 7 Gymnastics Posts Season-Best Road Score of 197.300 at No. 6 Georgia

The Tigers fall at Georgia.
ATHENS, Ga. – No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics scored its highest mark in a road meet this season but ultimately fell to No. 6 Georgia, 197.600-197.300, on Friday evening at Stegeman Coliseum before 8,018 spectators.
The Tigers (10-4, 3-4 SEC) posted 49.550 on floor but were ultimately topped by the Bulldogs' (11-3, 4-3 SEC) 49.625 on the apparatus to close out the meet.
SHOWSTOPPERS
Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) won her fifth uneven bars title of the year with a score of 9.950, tying her career best for the third time.
"Tonight's result is tough because of how narrow the margins were," said head coach Shannon Welker. "I'm proud of the way the team kept competing and didn't back down in a tight meet. We'll take the lessons from tonight and use them to keep building."

-Missouri's 49.425 on bars tied the team's second-highest mark of the season on the apparatus.
-Going second, Lauren Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.) posted a 9.875.
-Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 9.900 from the third position, a season best.
-Maiya Terry (Coeur d'Alene, Id.) followed in the fourth spot with a 9.925, tying her career high she set the previous meet.
-Horton's 9.950 won her 14th event title of the year.
VAULT
-Railey Jackson (Park Forest, Ill.) notched a score of 9.825.
-Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.) and Kimarra Echols (Henderson, Nev.) both received marks of 9.875 for their routines, the team-best result of the evening on vault.
-Missouri totaled 49.125 in its second rotation and held a narrow lead over Georgia at the midpoint of the meet, 98.550-98.475.
FLOOR
-The Tigers delivered a 49.550 on floor, their second-highest score on the apparatus this season, with four routines scoring 9.900 or better.
-From the leadoff spot, Jackson notched a 9.875.
-Tisler and Kaia Tanskanen (Howell, Mich.) each posted 9.900s, going second and fourth, respectively.
-Horton scored a 9.950, marking her eighth meet this season with a 9.925 or higher on floor.
-Kennedy Griffin (Strongsville, Ohio) anchored with her fifth 9.925 of the year on the apparatus.
-Mizzou maintained its lead heading into the final rotation of the meet, 148.100-147.975.
BEAM
-Jackson held the leadoff spot for the first time this season and scored 9.850.
-Macpherson paced the Tigers on the event with a 9.925.
-Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) and Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.) closed out the meet with scores of 9.800 and 9.850, respectively.
-Missouri was outscored in the final rotation, 49.625-49.200.
