Senior Addison Lawrence becomes the seventh Tiger to receive the SEC Specialist of the Week recognition.
Senior Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.) of the No. 7 Mizzou gymnastics team was named the Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Lawrence saved her best season for last, as she has been one of the best and most consistent beam workers in the country through week six. She scored 9.950 on the apparatus against Florida on Friday, Feb. 6, marking her fifth time reaching the score this season. She also collected her fourth event title of the 2026 campaign.
With the result, Lawrence stands fourth nationally in scoring average at 9.937. She is one of just three gymnasts in the nation with five scores of 9.950 or higher on beam.
Since joining the conference, Mizzou has now earned 17 SEC Specialist of the Week awards, with Lawrence becoming the seventh Tiger to receive the recognition. Missouri collected six SEC Specialist of the Week honors in 2025, a record-setting five of which were from Helen Hu.
Missouri travels to Lexington, Ky., to face No. 25 Kentucky on Friday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast on SEC Network.
