
No. 13 Gymnastics Closes Regular Season At Illinois Quad

COLUMBIA, Mo. — No. 13 University of Missouri gymnastics team (10-6, 2-5 SEC) travels to Champaign, Illinois for its last regular-season meet of the 2024 season on Sunday, March 17, for a quad meet against Illinois (14-11, 4-5 B1G), No. 21 Arizona (8-7, 2-5 PAC-12), and SEMO (7-14-1, 3-2 MIC). First touch from Huff Hall is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT, and the action will broadcast on B1G+.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Tigers closed their home slate at the Mizzou Quad, scoring a 197.325 to finish second behind No. 11 Denver and triumph over New Hampshire and SEMO.
- Missouri broke the program bars record with a 49.600, improving its previous best mark by a full tenth.
- The Fab Floor picked up its second-best score on the apparatus in program history, earning a 49.625.
- MU compiled 11 routines of 9.9 or better, the most by the team this season.
- Freshman Kennedy Griffin and graduate Sienna Schrieber tied for the event title on floor, earning a 9.950.
- Schreiber and senior Mara Titarsolej shared the bars title, each with a 9.950.
IN THE RANKINGS
- For a fourth consecutive week, the Tigers are ranked No. 13 with a program-record NQS of 197.320.
- The Fab Floor stands at No. 8 in the rankings with an NQS of 49.550.
- After last weekend's performance, the bars group jumped to No. 9, moving up three spots after increasing their NQS to a 49.405.
- Missouri's vault ranking sits at No. 13 with an NQS of 49.300.
- On beam, Missouri holds at No. 19 again this week with an NQS of 49.250.
STARS ON BARS
- For the second time this season, the bars squad shattered a program record, improving the previous record by a full tenth with a 49.600 rotation score.
- Two seniors, Kyra Burns and Hollyn Patrick, opened up this rotation with a pair of 9.875s.
- Senior Amaya Marshall followed by earning her career-best score on bars with a 9.925.
- Junior Jocelyn Moore tied her season best with a 9.900 in the fifth spot.
- Sienna Schrieber earned a 9.950, which tied her career best, and anchor Mara Titarsolej secured the program record by earning a 9.950.
BEAM QUEENS
- Three Tigers — juniors Grace Anne Davis and Amari Celestine and graduate student Sienna Schreiber — picked up 9.9s on beam for the first time this season.
- Davis and Celestine each recorded a 9.900 in the leadoff and fifth spots, respectively.
- Schreiber produced her fourth consecutive 9.9, leading the team in the anchor position with a 9.925.
- Kennedy Griffin also made her first collegiate start on beam, earning a score of 9.800 in the second spot on the apparatus.
STELLAR SCHRIEBER
- Graduate student Sienna Schrieber made sure she left her mark at Hearnes Center this past weekend for her final meet at home.
- With a 39.600 all-around score, Schreiber posted consecutive all-around outings of 39.6 or higher for the first time in her career (39.650 against Arkansas)
- The Cumming, Georgia, native tied her career best on bars, securing a 9.950 which bolstered the program record.
- In the leadoff spot on floor, Schrieber earned a 9.950, marking the best score of her career.
- Schreiber also recorded another 9.9 on beam with her 9.925 score in the anchor position.
MARA MADNESS
- Mara Titarsolej rounded out her first home slate as a Tiger in strong fashion on bars to lead the Tigers to their best score on the event in program history.
- The Zutphen, Netherlands, native anchored MU with a 9.950 to pick up her fourth event title of 2024.
- The two-time WCGA Regular-Season All-American has recorded five scores of 9.925 or higher this season on bars as she is in position to lock up her third career All-America honor.
INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
- The Tigers have at least one gymnast ranked among the top 25 on all four events and all-around.
- On vault, Jocelyn Moore checks in at No. 24 this week after increasing her NQS to 9.895 and is tied at No. 9 on floor with an NQS of 9.950.
- Sienna Schrieber continues to be the highest-ranked Tiger in any event, tying for fifth this week on beam with an NQS of 9.950. She also ranks No. 18 in the all-around with an NQS of 39.535.
- On bars, Mara Titarsolej jumped in the rankings to No. 12 with an NQS of 9.935.
LAST TIME VS. ILLINOIS
- The Tigers have faced the Fighting Illini already this year at the Mizzou to the Lou meet on Feb. 16.
- Missouri earned a 197.475, which was the team's best score of 2024 at that time.
- Mara Titarsolej earned her first perfect 10 as a Tiger and the first on bars in program history.
- Jocelyn Moore added to her 9.9 streak on the floor with a 9.925 for her seventh of the season and 10th consecutive during that time.
LAST TIME VS. ARIZONA
- The last time Missouri and Arizona faced off was on March 16, 2013 in Tucson, Arizona.
- Missouri ended up falling to Arizona 196.625-195.450.
LAST TIME VS. SEMO
- The Tigers and Redhawks faced off last weekend at the Mizzou Quad on March 10.
- Mizzou took second with a 197.375, while SEMO rounded out the field with a 193.150.
ALL-TIME VS. OPPONENTS
- Arizona holds the lead against Missouri, 19-6.
- The Tigers lead the Fighting Illini, 21-12.
- MU holds the advantage over the Redhawks, 37-8.
