
Women's Basketball Continues Homestand Against Norfolk State

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball continues its three-game homestand at 2 p.m. Sunday against Norfolk State in Mizzou Arena. The weekend contest will be streamed live on SECN+.
Missouri is coming off a victory over Southern in the season's home opener on Thursday.
Senior Laniah Randle powered the Tigers with a double-double performance of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter topped the Tigers in the scoring column with 15 points behind a pair of 3-pointers.
Slaughter recorded five points at the charity stripe and is tied for eighth nationally this season with 13 makes at the line.
Junior guard Ashton Judd added 13 points and matched a career-high with four steals on the defensive end.
With a steal and a layup in the fourth quarter on Thursday, junior Tilda Sjökvist notched her first bucket in a Tigers uniform.
Redshirt sophomore Averi Kroenke totaled five points to mark her first time in the scoring column since Feb. 20, 2023, at Texas A&M.
Sunday will mark the first all-time meeting between the two programs. Missouri is an unblemished 7-0 against MEAC conference opponents.
Norfolk State is 2-0 on the season following victories over William and Mary and Longwood on Nov. 7.
The Spartans finished last season 27-6 before being defeated in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Stanford.
Norfolk State is coached by Lary Vickers who is in his 10th season at the helm with a 149-94 overall record.
The Spartans roster is headlined by graduate point guard Diamond Johnson who leads the team with 20.2 points per game.
Senior forward Kierra Wheeler contributes 11.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per contest and 11.0.
