
Tigers Face Off in Annual Black and Gold Scrimmage

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri Wrestling team faced off in its annual Black and Gold Scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 29. The afternoon featured 17 matches inside the Hearnes Center.
10 freshmen earned experience in the scrimmage including, Ryan Boersma, James Conway, Jerrdon Fisher, Tommy Hagan, Easton Hilton, Peyton Moore, Zachry Seltzer, Cameron Steed, Owen Uhls and Clayton Whiting.
The Black and Gold tune-up featured two wins by fall as redshirt sophomore Seth Nitzel defeated redshirt freshman Cole Gripka, followed by redshirt junior Zach Elam then pinning Nitzel.
Senior Jarrett Jacques earned a major decision over redshirt freshman Jeremy Jakowitsch, 22-8, as did sophomore Keegan O'Toole over freshman James Conway, 18-5.
