HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The No. 23 Mizzou gymnastics team opens postseason competition at the 2021 Southeastern Conference Championships on Sautrday, March 20 at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala. The Tigers will compete in the afternoon session at 2:30 p.m. with No. 14 Kentucky and No. 15 Auburn, while No. 1 Florida, No. 4 LSU, No. 8 Alabama and No. 9 Arkansas will go in the evening session at 6 p.m. CT. SEC Network will broadcast both sessions.

- The Tigers clock in at No. 23 in the national rankings this week.

- On Feb. 19, Mizzou scored a season-best 196.850 at Arkansas, where the squad also posted event season-bests of 49.250 on vault and 49.200 on bars.
- The 196.850 tied the ninth-highest score in team history and tied the second-highest road total in program history.
- Overall, Mizzou's scoring average over the last four meets is 196.444, after an average of 195.038 over the first four meets of the year.
- Head Coach Shannon Welker is in his eighth season at the helm of the Tigers. Last season, Mizzou defeated No. 11 Minnesota and No. 19 Nebraska and twice posted team scores among the top 10 in program history.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Mizzou gymnastics team posted the second-highest beam team score in program history in a 197.875-196.175 loss at the hands of No. 3 LSU on March 5 in the regular season finale in Baton Rouge, La. Missouri ended the night with a 49.425 on beam to mark the team's third-straight meet with a 49.375 or better on the event.
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber claimed the beam title with a career-best 9.975 to become only the fourth gymnast in program history to record a 9.975. The event crown was her team-leading eighth event title of the season and her the 10th of her Tiger career.
- Additionally, freshman Amaya Marshall posted a career-high 39.300 in the all-around, thanks to a personal-best 9.9 on beam, to go along with a 9.85 on floor, 9.8 on vault and 9.75 on bars.
- Mizzou concluded the night with the second-highest beam total in program history, 49.425, thanks to three individual scores of 9.9 or higher. Over the last three meets, the Tigers have notched three of the top six team beam scores in Mizzou history, and are averaging 49.400 on the event in that span.
- Schreiber's 9.975 on beam led the squad and marked the sophomore's fourth tally of 9.9 or higher on the apparatus this season. Both Marshall and freshman Sydney Schaffer recorded identical career-bests of 9.9s, and senior Gabrielle Gottula led off the lineup with a 9.875.
- The visiting Tigers opened the meet with a 48.700 on bars. Junior Alisa Sheremeta led the way with a 9.775, while Marshall and freshman Kalise Newson, in her collegiate debut, garnered 9.75s. Sophomore Hollyn Patrick added a 9.725.
- A trio of 9.8s paced Mizzou in the second rotation on vault. Marshall, Patrick and Schreiber all tallied the score, while Gottula and McCrary both went 9.775.
- In the third rotation, Missouri totaled a 49.100 as four Tigers scored 9.8 or better. Sheremeta again posted a team-best, going 9.875 for her fourth-consecutive score of 9.85 or better on the event. Marshall and McCrary were just behind with 9.85s, and Gottula scored a 9.8.

MISSOURI RANKED 23RD IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
- Mizzou clocks in at 23rd in this week's national rankings, with an National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 196.444.
- The Tigers also rank 10th on beam, 27th on vault, 28th on bars and 32nd on floor.
- Additionally, sophomore Sienna Schreiber ranks tied for 14th nationally on beam with an NQS of 9.931.
TIGERS POST SECOND-HIGHEST BEAM SCORE IN PROGRAM HISTORY
- Mizzou closed the March 5 meet at LSU with a 49.425 on beam, which is the second-highest score ever on the event in program history.
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber led the way with a 9.975 in the anchor position to become only the fourth Mizzou gymnast to ever record the score.
- Freshmen Amaya Marshall and Sydney Schaffer each recorded 9.9s at LSU as well, which were both career-highs.
BEAM A STRENGTH FOR MIZZOU
- After a slow start to the season on beam, Mizzou has responded with four-straight scores over 49.250 on the event, including three scores over 49.375.
- The Tigers now rank 10th nationally on the event with an NQS or 49.363.
- The Tigers are averaging 49.363 on beam over the last four meets after averaging 48.388 the first four meets of the year
- In fact, Mizzou has recorded three of the top six beam scores in program history over the last three meets.

TIGERS TAKE DOWN GEORGIA
- The Tigers earned a 196.575-196.100 win over then-No. 15 Georgia on Feb. 26
- Mizzou's win over Georgia marked the team's third victory over the program in 25 chances. The Tigers also defeated Georgia in the 2016 regular season (195.800-195.350) and at the 2010 NCAA Columbia Regional (196.500-196.275).
SCHREIBER WITH A TEAM-BEST EIGHT EVENT TITLES
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber paces the Tigers with a team-high eight event titles on the season.
- She has four beam wins on the year, claiming top honors against Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas and LSU.
- Schreiber also won bars against Kentucky, Auburn and Georgia and took home the all-around crown in the second matchup with the GymDogs
MARSHALL ROUNDING INTO FORM
- Freshman Amaya Marshall has been a big part of Mizzou's recent success.
- In the regular season finale, Marshall had career-bests of 39.300 in the all-around and 9.9 on beam.
- She won the bars title at Arkansas on Feb. 19 with a personal-best 9.875 on the event.
- She was named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Week on Feb. 16 after winning the all-around crown against Auburn with a 39.075.
- Overall, Marshall has an all-around NQS of 39.206.
