- Mizzou will have 63 percent of routines from a year ago available for the 2021 season.
- Overall, Mizzou returns 68 percent of its floor lineup, 65 percent of its vault and beam lineup and 55 percent of its bars lineup.
- Head Coach Shannon Welker is in his eighth season at the helm of the Tigers. Last season, Mizzou defeated No. 11 Minnesota and No. 19 Nebraska and twice posted team scores among the top 10 in program history.
LAST TIME OUT
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber won two event titles as the Mizzou gymnastics team fell to No. 12 Kentucky, 195.775-195.350, on Jan. 22 at the Hearnes Center.
- Schreiber took top honors on beam and tied for the bars title for her second and third event crowns of the young season.
- Mizzou closed the night with the 49.250 on floor, besting the team's previous high of 49.075 set last week. All six competitors reached the 9.8 mark for the Tigers, including a team-best 9.9 for junior Hannah McCrary. McCrary's score was her second-straight floor tally of at least 9.9, as she went 9.925 against Alabama on Jan. 15.
- Junior Alisa Sheremeta concluded her strong night with a 9.875 on floor, and freshman Amaya Marshall earned a 9.85. Also with strong performances on the apparatus were freshman Jena Swanson with a 9.825 and senior Gabrielle Gottula and Schreiber, who each went 9.8.
- The Tigers tallied 48.500 on vault in the opening rotation. Schreiber opened the meet with a 9.75, a score that Marshall matched from the third spot, and Gottula added a 9.7.
- Schreiber earned a 9.825 on bars to tie for the event crown, the second bars title of her Tiger career. Overall, Mizzou went 48.775 as a team, thanks to a 9.8 from Sheremeta, a career-high-tying 9.775 from sophomore Adalayna Hufendiek, and a 9.725 from Marshall.
- A 9.875 from Schreiber was good enough to earn the sophomore her second event win of the meet and third overall of the season. She now has scores of 9.9, 9.875 and 9.85 on the apparatus so far this year. The Tigers went 48.825 as a team, bolstered by Schreiber's 9.875, Sheremeta's 9.8 and a career-high-tying 9.775 from freshman Sydney Schaffer.

- Mizzou will return to the mat on Friday, Feb. 12 when the squad welcomes No. 22 Auburn for a 8 p.m. CT meet at the Hearnes Center. The meet will be televised live on the SEC Network.
MISSOURI RANKED 24TH IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
- Mizzou clocks in at 24th in this week's national rankings, with an average score of 195.117.
- The Tigers also rank 15th on floor, 23rd on bars, 29th on beam and 34th on vault.
- Missouri was selected 16th in the preseason poll.
MIZZOU GOES BIG ON FLOOR AGAINST KENTUCKY
- The Tigers closed the meet against Kentucky with a 49.250 on floor in the final rotation.
- The score marked the highest event total for the squad so far in 2021.
- All six Tigers scored at least a 9.8 in the floor rotation, including a 9.9 from junior Hannah McCrary and and 9.875 from junior Alisa Sheremeta.
- Before the 49.250, Mizzou's highest event score of the season was a 49.075, set on floor against Alabama on Jan. 15.
SCHREIBER NABS TWO TITLES AGAINST THE WILDCATS
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber claimed both the bars and beam titles in Mizzou's meet against Kentucky on Jan. 22.
- She tallied scores of 9.875 on beam and 9.825 on bars to take top honors.
- The two wins here the second and third event titles of Schreiber's sophomore season, and the fourth and fifth of her Tiger career.
- Schreiber also won the beam crown at Georgia in the season opener.
- The sophomore currently ranks 21st nationally on beam with an average score of 9.875.
MCCRARY CLAIMS FLOOR TITLE IN MEET VS. ALABAMA
- Junior Hannah McCrary anchored Mizzou's floor lineup with a 9.925 against Alabama on Jan. 15 to take the floor crown.
- The 9.925 tied her career-high, which she set at the Crimson Tide in 2020.
- It was the fourth event title of her career, and second on floor, as she also won the event in Mizzou's squad meet against Minnesota, Ohio State and Lindenwood a year ago.
- She currently ranks tied for 18th nationally on the event with an average score of 9.892.
TIGERS SHOW IMPROVEMENT FROM FIRST MEET
- With a 195.750 against Alabama on Jan. 15, Mizzou improved its week one score by a full 1.5 points.
- The Tigers went 194.250 in the season opener on Jan. 8.
- The squad also improved event scores on three events against the Crimson Tide, going from 48.300 to 48.925 on vault, 48.100 to 48.825 on beam and 48.825 to 49.075 on floor.
- Mizzou's score was right on pace from week one, as the Tigers went 49.025 against Georgia and 48.925 against Alabama.
NEWCOMERS MAKE IMPACT IN SEASON OPENER
- A total of five Tigers made their collegiate debuts in Mizzou's meet at Georgia on Jan. 8.
- Overall, 10 of Mizzou's 22 routines against the GymDogs came from first-time gymnasts.
- Sophomores Adalayna Hufendiek and Macy Orosco and freshmen Amaya Marshall, Sydney Schaffer and Jena Swanson all saw their first action in a Tiger leo during the meet.
- Hufendiek did not compete as a freshman in 2020 after recovering from an injury suffered prior to her arrival in Columbia, and Orosco did not see any action during her freshman season at Alabama in 2020.
- Marshall (vault, bars, floor) and Swanson (vault, bars, floor) both competed three events in the opener, while Hufendiek (vault, bars) did two and Orsoco (bars) and Schaffer (beam) each made one lineup.
SCHREIBER WINS BEAM TITLE AT GEORGIA
- Sophomore Sienna Schreiber anchored Mizzou's beam lineup with a career-high 9.9 on the apparatus in the season opener at Georgia on Jan. 8.
- As a freshman in 2020, Schreiber also won the all-around title against Florida and the bars title at the Mardi Gras Invite.
- The 9.9 bested Schreiber's previous high on the event of 9.85, which she scored twice last season.
TIGERS TO COMPETE IN SEC-ONLY SCHEDULE
- The Tigers, in conjunction with the Southeastern Conference, announced the 2021 schedule on Nov. 23
- The 2021 SEC gymnastics season will be comprised of eight meets per school over a 10-week conference-only schedule, with the regular-season concluding with the SEC Gymnastics Championships on March 20 in New Orleans.
- The decision to limit competition to conference-only opponents was based on the need for maximum flexibility in making any necessary scheduling adjustments while reacting to developments around the COVID-19 pandemic and continued advice from medical professionals.
- The schedule includes two open dates for all schools in Week five and Week 10 to allow for rescheduling of postponed events.
