QUOTABLES
Mizzou Head Coach Shannon Welker
"The one thing we've been talking about is that we don't have to perfect to be a good team. Tonight proved that point. We had some obvious mistakes but we didn't let it affect us. We had a mistake on bars and on floor but we stayed aggressive after those mistakes and didn't let it impact us. And we're going to walk away with a pretty good score, which will help us in the rankings.
A lot of nice things happened tonight. After bars we went over to vault and were really aggressive. We vaulted really well again tonight, that's been a good event for us and we've made a lot of progress since last year. Floor was a nice event for us as well. We had a mistake early but I gathered our team and told them to stay aggressive. They did that and walked away with a nice 49.350. And we closed out the meet with a really solid performance on beam."
UP NEXT
Mizzou will compete in the Mardi Gras Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14 at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. The Tigers take on No. 9 LSU, No. 18 Iowa State and Lindenwood at 7 p.m. CT.
