COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 19 Mizzou gymnastics team makes the short trip to St. Charles, Mo., to compete in the 2020 GymQuarters Mardi Gras Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14 at 6:30 p.m. The Tigers will take on No. 9 LSU, No. 18 and Lindenwood at The Family Arena.
TIGER TIDBITS
- Mizzou moved up two spots to No. 19 in the RoadtoNationals.com national rankings.
- The Tigers rank 14th nationally on beam (49.000), 16th on floor (49.117), 18th on vault (49.021) and 29th on bars (48.742).
- Additionally, freshman Helen Hu is tied for second nationally on beam with an average of 9.925.
- Last time out, Missouri scored a season-best 196.850 at No. 7 Alabama on Feb. 7. The 196.850 stands as the second-highest road score in program history.
- The Tigers tallied event scores of 49.350 on floor, 49.300 on beam, 49.250 on vault and 48.950 on bars.
- Against Alabama, Mizzou scored at least 49.250 on vault, beam and floor in the same meet for the first time in program history.

- Hu and sophomore Hannah McCrary both won event crowns at Alabama. Hu won her fourth beam title of the year and McCrary claimed the win on vault for her first title of the season.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Mizzou gymnastics team tallied a season-best score in a 197.550-196.850 loss to No. 7 Alabama on Feb. 7 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Sophomore Hannah McCrary and freshman Helen Hu both won event titles in the meet, as McCrary tied for the win on vault and Hu claimed the beam crown.
- A 9.9 from Hu paced Mizzou to a 48.950 on bars in the opening rotation. Redshirt senior Morgan Porter earned a 9.85 and junior Chelsey Christensen added a 9.75.
- McCrary closed the vault rotation with a career-best 9.925, which tied her for the event win. It was her first title of the season and the second of her career. Freshman Kambrie Brandt tied her personal-best with a 9.85, while Porter, junior Gabrielle Gottula and freshman Sienna Schreiber all went 9.825.
- Three 9.9s gave Mizzou a strong floor score of 49.350, the team's second-highest of the season. Porter, McCrary and Schreiber all claimed 9.9s, career-bests for McCrary and Schreiber. Sophomore Alisa Sheremeta went 9.875 for the second week in a row to tie her season-best, and Brandt also went a personal-high with a 9.775.
- The Tigers earned a 49.300, the second-best total on the event this season, to close out the meet. Hu earned her fourth beam title of the season with a career-high-tying 9.95 in the anchor position. Porter hit her routine for a season-best 9.875, and Sheremeta went a 9.85, also a season-best. Gottula added a 9.825 and McCrary went 9.8 as well.

- Mizzou returns to the Hearnes Center to host No. 9 LSU on Friday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. CT. The meet will be televised live on SEC Network.

- The Tigers compiled event scores of 49.350 on floor, 49.300 on beam, 49.250 on vault and 48.950 on bars.
- It marked the first time in program history Missouri scored 49.250 or higher on vault, beam and floor in the same meet.
- With their 49.250 on vault at Alabama, The Tigers are averaging 49.242 on vault over the last three meets after averaging 48.8 in the first three meets.
MIZZOU POSTS SECOND-BEST ROAD SCORE IN PROGRAM HISTORY
- Mizzou's 196.850 at Alabama was the second-best road score in program history.
- The 196.850 trails just the 197.475 at the Texas Woman's Invite on March 12, 2004
- The 196.850 edged out a 196.750 Missouri posted at Florida on Feb. 24, 2017.
- Additionally, Missouri's 49.300 on beam at Alabama was the eighth-best beam total in school history.
FRESHMEN MAKING THEIR IMPACT
- Six meets into the 2020 season, Mizzou's freshmen class has made an impact
- So far, freshmen have made up 35.4 percent of the team's routines, with 51 of the 144 total coming from the class.
- Overall, the 51 routines by the freshmen led the team, followed by 35 from the senior class, 33 from the sophomore class and 25 from the junior class.
HU ONE OF THE NATION'S BEST BEAM WORKERS
- Freshman Helen Hu stands as one of the top beam workers.
- Hu currently ranks tied for second nationally on the event with an average score of 9.925.
- She has tallied a 9.9 or better on beam in all six meets this season, with three 9.95s and three 9.9s.
- Hu also stands as the only the second freshman in Tiger history to score a 9.95 on the event, joining Morgan Porter, who accomplished the feat in 2016.
MCCRARY POSTS TWO PERSONAL-BESTS AGAINST THE CRIMSON TIDE
- Sophomore Hannah McCrary tallied two career-bests and won an event title in Mizzou's meet at Alabama.
- McCrary recorded a 9.925 on vault, besting her previous high of 9.9 set at Auburn on Jan. 24.
- Her 9.925 tied her for the vault title, her first win of the season and second of her career.
- McCrary also posted a career-high 9.9 on floor.
TIGERS GO BIG ON BEAM AT AUBURN
- Mizzou closed the Auburn meet with a 49.425 on beam in the final rotation.
- The score stands as the second-highest score on the event in program history, behind only a 49.500 against Kentucky on March 10, 2017.
- The Tigers' top three beam scores have all come in the last four seasons under the direction of associate head coach Casey Jo MacPherson.
- Mizzou's 49.425 was highlighted by a 9.95 from freshman Helen Hu in the anchor position and a 9.925 by junior Gabrielle Gottula.
