COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 17 Mizzou Volleyball (8-0) will compete in one of the nation's premier non-conference tournaments this weekend (Sept. 20-21), joining No. 5 Baylor and No. 13 Hawaii at the 2019 Baylor Classic.
The Tigers, Bears and Rainbow Wahine are only three of the 10 remaining undefeated teams in NCAA Division I. Mizzou will open its road trip Friday evening at the Ferrell Center against Baylor. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and the match will broadcast live on Big 12 Now via ESPN +.
Mizzou concludes its quick two-match trip Saturday afternoon versus Hawaii. First serve is slated for a 1 p.m. CT start.

Series Snapshot vs. Baylor
- Mizzou leads in the all-time series, 18-14.
- The two programs last met eight years ago (Nov. 5, 2011) in their final matchup as Big 12 Conference counterparts. The Tigers tallied a 3-1 victory inside the Hearnes Center.
- Mizzou has won three of the last four all-time meetings versus Baylor. Friday evening's contest will be its first in Waco, Texas, in eight years (Oct. 8, 2011).
Series Snapshot vs. Hawaii
- Mizzou leads in the all-time series, 1-0.
- The two programs' lone historical meeting occurred 14 years ago (Dec. 9, 2005) in an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 showdown in State College, Pennsylvania. Mizzou produced a 3-1 victory and advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history.
Mizzou's High-Powered Offense Stealing The Show
- Through eight matches played, Mizzou's high-powered offense is gaining Southeastern Conference and NCAA headlines. Currently, the Tigers lead the SEC in hitting percentage (.396) and aces per set (2.43) while placing second in kills per set (14.07) and assists per set (13.07).
- Nationally, Mizzou's hitting total ranks first, aces per set ranks third, kills per set ranks tied for 23rd and assists per set ranks 23rd.
- Redshirt sophomore S Andrea Fuentes is playing a huge role into the offensive success, as she's serving as the quarterback for the Tiger attackers. Fuentes' 11.46 assists per set ranks first in the SEC and ninth in the NCAA.
- Monday morning, Fuentes was named the SEC Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week. The San Juan native was also tabbed the overall SEC Player of the Week after she orchestrated a Tiger offense that produced 187 kills (14.38 per set) on .396 hitting across their four-match Tiger Invitational sweep.
