Storylines
- The No. 19 Mizzou gymnastics team opens the 2019 schedule on Friday, Jan. 4 in a quad meet against No. 20 Arizona State, No. 23 Minnesota and UIC at 7 p.m. CT in Tempe, Ariz.
- The Tigers enter 2019 ranked 19th in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) preseason poll.
- In regular season matchups, Missouri is 3-0 all-time against Arizona State, 5-5-1 against Minnesota and 4-2 against UIC

Last Time Out
- The Missouri gymnastics team gave Tiger fans a preview of the 2019 season at the annual Black & Gold Exhibition on Dec. 9.
- The Tigers opened the event with great vaults in the opening rotation. Freshman Hannah McCrary anchored the lineup with a team-best 9.9 on her Yurchkenko 1.5. Additionally, junior Aspen Tucker earned a 9.85, senior Madeleine Huber and redshirt junior Morgan Porter each went 9.8, and sophomore Gabrielle Gottula posted a 9.75.
- In the second rotation, Huber had a near-perfect routine to earn a team-high 9.900 on the apparatus. Also with a standout performance was redshirt senior Becca Schugel in her first competition since a season-ending injury last season. Schugel went 9.75 on the event in her return to action. Tucker added a 9.7 as well.
- A total of seven different Tigers earned a 9.75 or higher on beam in the meet, led by a 9.900 from senior Britney Ward. Both Tucker and and junior Mary Nicholson claimed 9.85s and Gottula went 9.8. Senior Allison Bower, sophomore Lauren Clevenger and McCrary all earned 9.75s.
- On floor, Tucker led a contingent of six gymnasts with at least a 9.7, as the junior posted a 9.85. Nicholson led off the event with a 9.8, while Porter went 9.8 as well. Bower claimed a 9.75 and McCrary and Huber each recorded 9.7.

Mizzou Ranked 19th in Preseason Poll
- The Missouri gymnastics team clocked in at 19th in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) preseason poll, the organization announced on Dec. 10.
- This year marks the fourth-consecutive season Missouri was among the top 25 teams in the preseason poll, as the Tigers were selected 17th prior to last season, 19th before 2017 and 23rd prior to the 2016 campaign.
Tigers Face Tough 2019 Slate
- The 2019 regular season features 15 matchups with 14 teams ranked in the top 25, including 10 meets against top 10 opponents

Mizzou Records Three Top 10 Wins in 2018
- Mizzou posted three top 10 wins over the course of the 2018 season, with two over the Arkansas Razorbacks and one over the Florida Gators
- On March 2, 2018, the Tigers defeated No. 5 Florida 196.925-196.625 at the Hearnes Center in the program's first-ever win over the Gators
- Earlier in the season, Missouri posted a 196.325-196.150 home win over the No. 10 Razorbacks on Jan. 19 at the Hearnes Center and a 196.025-195.525 victory over the same Arkansas team at the Mardi Gras Invitational on Feb. 16
