COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 20 Missouri gymnastics team returns home to the Hearnes Center to face No. 5 Florida on Friday, March 2 at 6:45 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network + with Ben Arnet and Blair Elmore on the call.

- Mizzou held steady at No. 20 in this week's national rankings
- The Tigers posted a season-best 196.625 as the team placed first in a tri-meet against host Illinois (195.400) and UIC (194.100) on Feb. 25
- Four different Tigers won or tied for event titles in the tri-meet. Sophomore Aspen Tucker took home the all-around (39.325) and vault (9.850) crowns, senior Shauna Miller tied for the bars (9.900) win, junior Britney Ward claimed the beam (9.925) title, and junior Michaelee Turner shared the floor (9.900) crown
- Mizzou scored a 49.150 or better on three of four events, including a 49.325 on floor, 49.250 on bars and a 49.150 on beam. The 49.250 on bars was a season-best for the Tigers, while the floor and beam scores were both the second-highest recorded so far this year
- Missouri's win over No. 8 Arkansas at the Mardi Gras Invitational on Feb. 16 marked the second time this season the team recorded a top 10 win, as the Tigers also defeated then-No. 10 Arkansas, 196.325-196.150, on Jan. 19
- At the Invitational, the Tigers scored season-bests on both beam (49.375) and vault (49.250). The beam score also stands as the second-best total on the event in program history
- Ward scored season-best scores on both events at the Invitational, with a 9.950 on beam and a 9.900 on vault
- The Tigers posted a season-high score in a 197.150-196.375 loss to then-No. 3 LSU on Feb. 9
- The 2018 Tigers return 94.2 percent of routines from a season ago
- Mizzou's 2018 slate is ranked the fifth-toughest in the country entering the season, behind only SEC foes Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama
- Head Coach Shannon Welker enters his fifth season at the helm of the Tiger program. In his first four years in Columbia, Welker has Mizzou back in the national spotlight. In 2017, the Tigers finished 17th in the national ranking. The 2017 season also saw Mizzou go 3-4 in Southeastern Conference dual meet action, with wins over No. 12 Arkansas, No. 12 Kentucky and No. 18 Auburn. The Tigers entered the season with just one SEC dual win in program history

- Missouri erupted for a season-high 196.625 as the squad took first in a tri-meet with host Illinois and UIC on Feb. 25 in Champaign, Ill. Illinois scored a 195.400 to finish second, while UIC was third with a total of 194.100.

- Ward's 9.925 anchored a beam rotation where the Tigers tallied a 49.150 on the apparatus. Porter tied her season-best with a 9.850, senior Tia Allbritten posted a 9.825 and freshman Belle Gottula added a 9.800.
- The Tigers recorded their highest event total of the day with a 49.325 on floor, only 0.25 off their season-best on the event. Turner took home her first-career event title with a 9.900 in the middle of the lineup. Tucker and sophomore Mary Nicholson each tallied 9.875s, a career-best for Nicholson, while junior Allison Bower went 9.850 and Miller and senior Kennedi Harris added 9.825s.
- Mizzou closed the meet with a 48.900, paced by a team-high 9.850 from Tucker. Huber added a 9.825.
- Tucker totaled a 39.325 in the all-around to take home the sixth all-around crown of her young career

- The Tigers travel to Ames, Iowa, to take on host Iowa and host Iowa State of Friday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m.
MISSOURI RANKED 20TH IN LATEST NATIONAL POLL
- Mizzou stayed steady at No. 20 in this week's national rankings
- This week marks the first time rankings are based on Regional Qualifying Score (take highest three road scores and three highest remaining scores, drop the highest score and average the remaining five)
- Missouri was 17th in the preseason coaches poll, announced on Dec. 11
- That was the highest preseason ranking for the Tigers since prior to the 2011 season, when they were chosen 13th
TIGERS GO A SEASON-HIGH 196.625 AT ILLINOIS
- The Tigers scored a season-best 196.625 in a tri-meet against host Illinois and UIC on Feb. 25
- The squad totaled event scores of 49.325 on floor, 49.250 on bars, 49.150 on beam and 48.900 on vault
- The 49.250 on bars was a season-best, while the floor and beam scores were the second-best total recorded so far in 2018
FOUR TIGERS CLAIM EVENT TITLES IN TRI-MEET
