No. 11 Mizzou Wraps Up Regular Season with Trip to No. 17 Texas A&M
- Mizzou is riding a six-game win-streak, its longest win streak in conference play since 1989-90.
- Mizzou set a new attendance record with 11,092 fans attending last Sunday's win. That victory over No. 11 Tennessee gave Mizzou two wins over Top-11 opponents in the same season for the first time since 1993-94 when the Tigers beat No. 6 Kansas and No. 3 Colorado.
- The Tigers have won 16 of their last 21 regular season SEC. games. Mizzou owns a winning streak against eight of 13 SEC opponents.
- Mizzou has had a higher field goal percentage than its opponent in 26 of its 28 games this season.
- The Tigers have already clinched 23 wins, cementing three consecutive seasons with at least 22 wins for the first time since 1982-85. The win Thursday over Vanderbilt gave Mizzou 23 wins by Feb. 22. That is the quickest Mizzou has reached 23 wins in a season since the Tigers did so on Feb. 18 during the 1976-77 campaign. Mizzou has 23 wins for the first time since 1983-84.
- Mizzou allows the fifth-fewest rebounds per game in the nation, as opponents grab just 30.3 per game. Coach Pingeton's squad ranks 14th in the nation in rebound margin.
- The Tigers rank third in the SEC in free throw percentage during league play, shooting 78.5 percent. Mizzou set a single-season program record last season, shooting 80.2 percent at the line.
- Mizzou has spent all 17 weeks of the season in the Top 25 in the AP poll. Since the beginning of the 2015-16 campaign, Mizzou has spent 30 weeks in the Top 25. Mizzou's No. 9 Coaches' Poll ranking is the highest in program history in the Coaches' Poll specifically.
- Junior Sophie Cunningham is the only player in the nation shooting at least 83 percent from the free throw line, 46 percent from 3-point range AND 55 percent from the field, arguably putting together the most efficient season by any player in the nation.
- All-SEC performer Jordan Frericks has scored in double figures 11 times in the past 12 games and tallied at least 15 points in six consecutive games, averaging 16.6 points per contest during the Tigers' current six-game win streak.
- Frericks is coming off an incredible 16-point, 12-rebound and nine-assist performance on Senior Night vs. Vanderbilt, finishing an assist shy of Mizzou's first triple-double since 2011.
- Frericks is just the third Tiger in program history to surpass 1,000 career rebounds and recently moved into third on Mizzou's all-time career rebounds list, passing Evan Unrau (945).
- Frericks now has 1,402 career points, which currently ranks sixth among active SEC players. Her 1,007 career rebounds rank third. She is one of only three players in the league have more than 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. On Thursday, Frericks became just the third Tiger to be a member of the 1,000-point club and the 1,000-rebound club alongside Renee Kelly and Kesha Bonds.
- Mizzou is shooting 38.6 percent from beyond the arc this season (227-of-588). As of now that's on pace to set a new program record, edging the 1989-90 and 2013-14 teams who shot 37.3 percent from deep.
- Mizzou currently ranks third in the SEC in 3-point field goal percentage. The Tigers have stepped up from deep in conference play, shooting 41.3 percent over their first 15 league games, which leads the SEC during conference action.
- In 15 conference games, Pingeton's squad is averaging a league-high 8.8 made three-pointers per game.
- The Tigers have outrebounded their opponent 24 times in 28 games this season. They have grabbed 40+ rebounds as a team 13 times in the past 20 games. Mizzou ranks 14th in the nation in rebounding margin (+9.1) and ranks second in the SEC.
- Mizzou has outrebounded opponents by 10+ boards in a game on 14 different occasions, including 12 times since Dec. 8.
- Amber Smith has drained 24-of-52 three-point field goal during conference play, shooting 46.2 percent from beyond the arc, which is the second-best three-point field goal percentage among SEC players.
Mizzou vs. Texas A&M
- Mizzou and Texas A&M face off for the 27th time in their program histories. Texas A&M won the last meeting 62-48 at last season's SEC Tournament.
- Mizzou and Texas A&M have had their fair share of nailbiters since moving to the SEC. Two of the last three meetings have gone into OT (last year the two teams set an NCAA record for points scored in an OT period with 42) and five of the last six meetings have been decided by single digits.
