COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 20 Mizzou Volleyball hits the road Friday for a Southeastern Conference matchup at South Carolina. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

Derek Scott and Paul McDonald will be on the call Friday evening inside the Carolina Volleyball Center. The match will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Fans can also follow the action online via Twitter (@MizzouVB).

Mizzou leads the all-time series over South Carolina, 7-2.
Mizzou was victorious in the programs' last meeting with a sweep earlier this season in Columbia, Missouri (Oct. 5, 2018).
The Tigers are 2-2 in all-time matches played in Columbia, South Carolina. Mizzou won a tight 3-2 contest in its last trip to the Carolina Volleyball Center (Nov. 8, 2017).

Tigers Climb Four Spots in Latest AVCA Poll

In midst of a season-best eight-match winning streak, Mizzou continued to gain national recognition with a No. 20 ranking in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I poll on Monday, Oct. 29.
It stands as the Tigers' top regular season ranking since 2016, as that year's squad was tabbed No. 18 entering postseason play.

Fuentes Honored by SEC Office for Second-Straight Week

Redshirt freshman S Andrea Fuentes was named the Week 10 SEC Co-Freshman of the Week, announced on Monday, Oct. 29. The honor marked Fuentes' third weekly award by the SEC office this year.
The San Juan native had another incredible weekend (Oct. 26-28), pushing Mizzou's season-high winning streak to eight matches. Fuentes' weekend highlight came in a five-set win over Texas A&M, as she produced a career-high 61 assists.
It marked the first time a Tiger setter had eclipsed 60 assists in a match since former All-American and current volunteer assistant coach Molly Kreklow achieved the feat on Nov. 24, 2010, versus Oklahoma with 62 assists.

Offensive & Defensive Balance Key to Mizzou's Success

The Tigers have enjoyed another standout season to this point in large part due to both an effective offense and defense. Entering this week, Mizzou ranks 14th in the NCAA with 2.75 blocks per set and 21st in the NCAA with a .264 team hitting percentage.
The Tigers are only 1 of 10 teams in the country who can claim top 25 rankings in both statistical categories, joining BYU, Colorado State, Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida State, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Stanford.
