Tigers improve to 4-1 in five-set matches this season
COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 24 Mizzou Volleyball (20-4, 10-2 SEC) was tested Sunday inside Mizzou Arena, but ultimately walked away with a 3-2 (23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 15-8) victory over Texas A&M.
In his 14th year as the head coach of Mizzou, Wayne Kreklow tallied win No. 300 this afternoon against the Aggies. He now stands with an impressive 300-144 (.676) all-time record at the helm for the Tigers.
The Tigers' season-high winning streak now stands at eight consecutive matches. Redshirt freshman Andrea Fuentes posted a career-high 61 assists against the Aggies, leading to four individual Tigers with double-digit kills.
It marked the first time a Tiger setter has posted 60-plus assists in a match since Nov. 24, 2010. Former Mizzou All-American and current volunteer assistant coach, Molly Kreklow, recorded 62 assists against former Big 12 foe Oklahoma.

On facing a tough Texas A&M squad today…
"They make you play. They really exploit weaknesses when they find them. I thought we did a good job of after that first set of really settling in. They were a very different opponent of what we faced Friday night versus LSU. Texas A&M is a great defensive team and they keep coming at you. Traditionally they don't make a lot of mistakes."

- Today's triumph over the Aggies marked Mizzou's 20th victory this year. The Tigers have posted 20-plus wins in four consecutive seasons, marking the first time that impressive feat has happened in program history.
- The previous standard of most consecutive seasons with 20-plus victories was three, which happened four times (1976-78, 1981-83, 2000-02, 2015-17) prior to today.
- Standing with 10 wins in Southeastern Conference play this season, Mizzou secured a winning conference record for the fourth-straight year. Since joining their new conference in 2012, Coach Kreklow and the Tigers have posted a winning record five times in league play (2013, 2015-18).
- Fuentes' aforementioned 61 assists and 12 digs marked her second-straight double-double and team-leading eighth double-double this year.
- Deberg also posted a double-double versus Texas A&M with 16 kills and 15 digs. It marked her third double-double this season and second in SEC play.
- Omazic's 10 kills secured her second-straight match with double-digit kills. It marked the first time this season she's recorded 10-plus kills in back to back matches.
- Member-Meneh's 17 kills set a new 2018 single-season SEC match high, surpassing her previous mark of 16 kills at Arkansas (Sept. 23).
- Junior Sun Wenting was clutch in the back row as a defensive sub, posting a season-high 10 digs against the Aggies.
