Tip off at Mizzou Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network
COLUMBIA, MO. - No. 15 Mizzou Women's Basketball (17-4, 5-3) launches a three-game homestand with a matchup against No. 2 Mississippi State on Thursday at Mizzou Arena. Tip off is set for 7:30 p.m. CT. Fans are encouraged to buy tickets early to avoid lines by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS or buying online here. The first 400 fans in attendance will receive a free tumbler.
No. 15 Mizzou Opens Homestand Against No. 2 Mississippi State
- Mizzou has won six consecutive games against Top 25 teams at Mizzou Arena beginning with the upset over Mississippi State on Jan. 14, 2016. That stretch includes a pair of Top-10 victories over No. 4 South Carolina this season and No. 6 South Carolina last season.
- Mizzou has never beaten a team ranked No. 2 or higher in program history. The best win in program history is a victory over No. 3 Colorado in 1994.
- The Tigers have won 10 of their last 13 regular season SEC games. Mizzou owns a winning streak against seven of 13 SEC opponents.
- Mizzou's Jan. 7 victory over No. 4 South Carolina was its fourth win in program history against a team ranked in the top four of the AP poll. Before the victory over the Gamecocks, the last such win came against No. 4 Baylor when the Tigers won 64-61 on Jan. 4, 2006.
- Mizzou allows the seventh-fewest rebounds per game in the nation, as opponents grab just 30.6 per game. Coach Pingeton's squad ranks ninth in the nation in rebound margin.
- The Tigers rank second in the SEC in free throw percentage, shooting 75.1 percent. Mizzou set a program record last season, shooting 80.2 percent at the line.
- Mizzou has spent all 13 weeks of the season in the Top 25 in the AP poll. The Tigers spent just seven weeks ranked all of last season. Since the beginning of the 2015-16 campaign, Mizzou has spent 26 weeks in the Top 25.
- Mizzou is shooting 38.0 percent from beyond the arc this season (167-of-440). As of now that's on pace to set a new program record, edging the 1989-90 and 2013-14 teams who shot 37.3 percent from deep.
- Mizzou currently ranks second in the SEC in 3-point field goal percentage. The Tigers have stepped up from deep in conference play, shooting 41.9 percent over their first eight league games, which leads the SEC during conference action.
- In eight conference games, Pingeton's squad is averaging 9.0 three-pointers per game.
- Jordan Frericks ranks 10th in the nation among active players in career rebounds with 952. She is just the fourth Tiger in program history to surpass 900 career rebounds and recently moved into third on Mizzou's all-time career rebounds list, passing Evan Unrau (945).
- The Tigers have outrebounded their opponent 18 times in 21 games this season. They have grabbed 40+ rebounds as a team 10 times in the past 13 games.
- Mizzou ranks ninth in the nation in rebounding margin (+10.6) and leads the SEC.
- So far this season, the Tigers are assisting on 63.1 percent of their field goals, the highest percentage in the SEC.
- Mizzou ranks third in the league as a team in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1) and fifth in assists per game (15.6). In conference play, Mizzou is averaging 15.9 assists with 127 assists in eight games, which trails only Tennessee among SEC teams.
- Amber Smith has drained 13-of-27 three-point field goal during conference play, shooting 48.1 percent from beyond the arc, which is the third-best three-point field goal percentage among SEC players (min. 20 attempts).

- Mizzou has beaten Mississippi State just once in program history, downing the then-No. 6 Bulldogs, 66-54 at Mizzou Arena.That was the last time the two programs faced off in Columbia, Mo.
