COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 13 Missouri returns to the Hearnes Center to host No. 14 George Washington, No. 25 Iowa State and Lindenwood in a quad meet on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network + with Ben Arnet and Blair Elmore on the call.
- Mizzou is ranked No. 13 in this week's RoadToNational's rankings
- The Tigers are 50-40-1 all-time against the Cyclones, 8-0 against the Lions, while the Colonials own a 3-1 mark against the Tigers
- Last time out, Missouri suffered a 197.425-195.425 loss at No. 2 LSU on Feb. 3
- Sophomore Britney Ward scored team-highs of 9.925 on vault and 9.900 on beam against LSU
- Ward currently ranks tied for 14th nationally on vault with an average of 9.885
- Against then-No. 12 Georgia on Jan. 27, Missouri reached the 196 mark for the third time in the first five meets in the team's 197.075-196.075 loss.
- Missouri had three scores of 196 or higher in its first five meets of the season for only the second time in program history. The 2004 squad is the only other team to accomplish the feat
- Freshman Aspen Tucker claimed her second all-around title of the season after a career-best total of 39.225 against the Crimson Tide on Jan. 20
- Mizzou earned a 195.850-193.950 win over then-No. 12 Arkansas on Jan. 13 and scored a 196.225 in wins over Lindenwood and Southeast Missouri on Jan. 15
- The Tigers' win over the Razorbacks marked the team's first SEC road victory in program history
- Mizzou broke the program vault record against Lindenwood and Southeast Missouri with a team total of 49.425, besting the old high of 49.375 set in 2004
- The Tigers opened the 2017 season with a score of 196.225 and wins over then-No. 24 Illinois (194.200) and Ball State (193.625) on Jan. 6. Missouri's score stands as the highest opening-meet score in Tiger history, besting the old high of 195.350 set in 2016 and 2004
- Mizzou's 2017 slate was ranked the fourth-toughest in the country entering the season, behind only SEC foes Georgia, Auburn and Alabama

- The Tigers head to St. Charles, Missouri, to compete in the GymQuarters Marti Gras Invitational at 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 17 at the St. Charles Family Arena. Mizzou will take on No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 LSU and No. 9 Georgia in a podium meet.
MISSOURI RANKED 13TH NATIONALLY
- Missouri is ranked 13th in this week's RoadToNational's national rankings, released on Monday
- The Tigers have stayed in the top 13 in all five in-season rankings, as they checked in at sixth (Jan. 9), eighth (Jan. 16), 11th (Jan. 23 and Jan. 30) and 13th (Feb. 6)
- Mizzou entered the season at No. 19 in the preseason rankings
- In addition to its total team ranking, Missouri also ranks ninth nationally on vault, 12th on floor, 17th on beam and 29th on bars
WARD CONTINUES TO SHINE
- Sophomore Britney Ward continued her strong campaign with a stellar meet at LSU on Feb. 3
- She tallied her team-leading fifth and sixth 9.9 or better scores of the season at the meet after earning a 9.925 on vault and a 9.9 on beam
- Ward owns six of Missouri's 13 9.9 scores so far this season
- Six of her 13 routines on the year have earned at least a 9.9, while 10 have gone 9.8 or better
- She is also tied for 14th nationally on vault with an average of 9.885
- In addition to her prowess on vault and beam, Ward entered the bars lineup at Georgia (Jan. 27) for the first time in her career and earned scores of 9.725 and 9.825 on the apparatus the last two weeks
TIGERS VAULTING UP A STORM
- The Tigers ranks as the nation's ninth-best vault team five weeks into the season
- So far this year, Missouri has scored at least a 49.125 in five of six meets
- Mizzou started the trend with a 49.225 at Arkansas on Jan. 13, set a program-record 49.425 in the State of Missouri Meet on Jan. 15, went 49.225 against Alabama on Jan. 20 and scored a 49.125 at both Georgia and LSU
- Sophomore Britney Ward leads the Tigers and is tied for 14th nationally with a vault average 9.885
- Ward has three scores of 9.925 or better so far this season, as she went 9.950 against Alabama and posts 9.925s at both Arkansas and LSU
MISSOURI POSTS SEASON-HIGH FLOOR TOTAL AT GEORGIA
- At Georgia on Jan. 27 Missouri posted a season-high floor score of 49.225
- All six Tigers scored at least a 9.8 on the event
- Junior Kennedi Harris paced the Tigers with a 9.9 on floor
- Two other Tigers, junior Becca Schugel and sophomore Madeleine Huber, set or tied their career highs
- Schugel went 9.875 to tie her personal-best, while Huber set a new career-high with a 9.850
MIZZOU OWNS NATION'S FOURTH-TOUGHEST SCHEDULE
- Heading into the season, the Tigers' schedule was rated the fourth-toughest in the nation
- The strength of schedule was calculated by reverse assigning points to each team based on their final 2016 final ranking (example: No. 1 Oklahoma was worth 82 points, No. 2 LSU 81 points, etc.). Additionally, only the highest-ranked team at each meet is used to assign points for that particular meet
- Every single home meet features at least one opponent ranked in the preseason top 25
- Missouri's schedule ranks behind only Southeastern Conference foes Georgia, Auburn and Alabama
HARRIS STEADY AS THEY COME
- Junior Kennedi Harris has been solid as a rock so far in 2017
- In the vault and floor lineups every meet this season, 10 of her 12 routines have gone for at least a 9.8
- Additionally, Harris ranks second on the team with five scores of 9.9 or higher, including scores of 9.925, 9.9, 9.9 and 9.9 on floor over the last four weeks
- She also has tallies of 9.875, 9.9, 9.825, 9.875 and 9.8 on vault over the last five meets
MIZZOU TALLIES THIRD 196 SCORE OF THE YEAR AT GEORGIA
- Mizzou's 196.075 at Georgia on Jan. 27 marked the team's third score of 196 or higher in the first five meets of the season
- The 2004 squad was the only other team in program history to notch three scores of 196 in the first five meets of the year
- The Tigers also scored totals of 196.225 in the season opener and in the State of Missouri Meet
- Last season, Missouri reached 196 only once over the first five meets (a 196.025 at Alabama)
WARD ADDS TO HER EVENT TITLE HAUL
- Sophomore Britney Ward won her fifth event title of the season on beam at Georgia on Jan. 27
- She scored a 9.9 to claim her second crown on the apparatus this season
- Ward also owns three vault titles in 2017
- Last season, Ward won a total of 12 titles during her freshman campaign, with six apiece on vault and beam
TUCKER TAKES ALL-AROUND CROWN AGAINST ALABAMA
- Freshman Aspen Tucker claimed her second all-around crown of the young season as she earned the win against the Crimson Tide on Jan. 20
- Tucker recorded a career-best total of 39.325 thanks to a stellar night on every event
- She notched indivdiual event personal-bests on floor (9.850) and bars (9.825) and also posted scores of 9.850 on vault and 9.800 on beam
- Tucker also won the all-around in Mizzou's first meet of the season, after she went 39.175 against Illinois and Ball State
MISSOURI BREAKS SCHOOL VAULT RECORD
- Missouri's State of Missouri Meet win against host Lindenwood and Southeast Missouri on Jan. 15 was highlighted by a new program record for the Tigers
- The squad closed the meet with a 49.425 on vault, the highest output on the event in program history
- Mizzou bested the old mark of 49.375, which was set at the Texas Women's Invite on March 12, 2004
- The Tigers only used five gymnasts to notch the 49.425, led by a career-best 9.950 (out of 9.950) by sophomore Morgan Porter
- Other Tiger scores included a 9.900 from junior Kennedi Harris, 9.875 from freshman Aspen Tucker and 9.850s from senior Angie Kern and sophomore Madeleine Huber
