Mizzou Heads to Springfield for In-State Clash on the Road
- Mizzou is 12-3 against in-state foes during the Robin Pingeton coaching era.
- Mizzou is coming off an 82-80 win over 2016-17 Horizon Champion Wright State. Mizzou has now won 47 consecutive nonconference regular season home games, with the last loss coming to Northwestern on Dec. 3, 2011. The Tigers have won 33 consecutive nonconference games at Mizzou Arena, falling to Eastern Illinois in the Postseason WNIT on March 20, 2013.
- The Tigers' first three opponents of the 2017-18 campaign all finished with 25 or more victories a season ago.
- As a team, Mizzou caught fire from beyond the arc in its win over Wright State, shooting 52.9 percent from 3-point range. That's the third-highest single game team three-point percentage by an SEC team this season. Mizzou ranks third in the league in 3-point percentage, shooting 39.6 percent as a squad thus far.
- Mizzou is 6-2 in its first true road game of the season over the last eight seasons. The Tigers have won three of the last four such games.
- Redshirt senior Jordan Frericks has been relentless in her return to the court. She scored 24 points vs. Western Kentucky, 23 points vs. Quinnipiac and 26 points vs. Wright State. She is just the second Tiger in program history with at least 23 points in three consecutive games to open a season, joining Renee Kelly (1987).
- Frericks leads the SEC in scoring average with 24.3 points per game and total points with 73. She ranks fifth in the nation in total points scored and third in scoring average among those who have played in at least three games.
- Frericks is one of just seven players in the SEC to score at least 20 points in a game and the only player in the league with multiple 20-point games. Her career-high 11 field goals against Western Kentucky are the most by an SEC player in a game thus far.
- Redshirt junior Lauren Aldridge is coming off a career-high nine-assist performance against Wright State. She has a team-best 6.0 assists per game, which ranks fourth in the SEC.
- Aldridge ranks second in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio among players with 15 or more assists (3.6) and second in minutes played (36.7)
- Mizzou ranks second in the SEC and 19th in the nation in rebounds allowed per game, holding opponents to just 28.3 rebounds per contest.
Mizzou vs. Missouri State
- Mizzou and Missouri State square off for the sixth consecutive season.
- The Tigers are looking for their third win in the last four meetings after a 24-point victory over the Bears a season ago.
- Mizzou is 19-8 all-time against Missouri State and 7-3 vs. the Bears in Springfield.
