GAME NOTES

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Riding a three-game win streak, Mizzou Women's Basketball (14-7, 4-3) returns home to face Auburn on Thursday at Mizzou Arena. Tip is slated for 7 p.m. on SEC Network Plus.

PROMOS

  • It's Mizzou Faculty/Staff night. Faculty members can get up to four discounted tickets that cost just $4 each.
  • Adventure Club night

OF NOTE

  • Mizzou is coming off its first road win over Arkansas since 2008.
  • The Tigers' current three-game win streak is the third streak of three games or more in conference play over the last two seasons. A win on Thursday would match Mizzou's longest streak in conference play since it joined the SEC.
  • Mizzou has now won six SEC road games by double digits since joining the league and beaten four SEC opponents by 14 points or more on the road since the 2014-15 campaign after the victory at Arkansas.
  • Mizzou has won three consecutive regular season matchups over Auburn. Mizzou is undefeated at home against Auburn.
  • Mizzou is 10-1 this season at home. The Tigers finished the nonconference slate 8-0 at home and have won 32 consecutive nonconference home games.
  • Mizzou has been dominant in first quarters this season, outscoring opponents 373-275 in the frame, including 119-71 in SEC play.
  • Sophie Cunningham earned SEC Co-Player of the Week honors last week, the seventh weekly honor of her career after collecting six SEC Freshman of the Week awards last season. She averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.5 in assists in two Mizzou wins.
  • Cunningham is the only player in the SEC shooting above 45 percent from the field (48.8 percent) and above 80 percent from the free throw line (84.8 percent) this season.
  • Sophomore Cierra Porter made 4-of-4 shots and scored 10 points at Arkansas, marking the first perfect night from the field in her career.
  • Despite having just one true forward playing 15 minutes or more per game, Mizzou has outrebounded opponents 15 times in 21 games this season, going 12-3 in those contests.

1,000-POINT CLUB

  • During a 23-point performance at Arkansas on Monday, Sierra Michaelis eclipsed the 1,000-career point mark, becoming Mizzou's 34th member of the 1,000-point club. She is one of seven Tigers during the Pingeton coaching era to reach 1,000 points (joining Shakara Jones, RaeShara Brown, Christine Flores, Morgan Eye, Bri Kulas and Jordan Frericks).
  • After scoring 23 points at Arkansas, 20 points against Georgia and pouring in 22 points at Kentucky, Michaelis has racked up at least 20 points 11 times in her career, including five times in 2016-17 (which is a new  career high in a season). The performances against Kentucky and Georgia marked the first time she recorded back-to-back 20-point outbursts.
  • Michaelis racked up 19 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocked shots against Vanderbilt. The last time a Tiger reached those plateaus in all five categories in a single game was Amanda Lassiter in 2001.
  • Michaelis has scored in double figures 13 times this season. Mizzou is 10-3 in those contests.
  • Michaelis ranks 5th among active SEC players in career 3s and 9th among active SEC players in career points with 1,009.  Among active players, she is the only player in the SEC to rank in the top ten in career points, top ten in career assists and top five in career three-pointers.

SCOUTING AUBURN

  • Auburn has utilized a fast-paced, high octane defense on its way to a 14-6 record and 4-2 start in SEC play.
  • Auburn leads the SEC in turnover margin (+9.0), forcing a league-high 21.7 turnovers per game.
  • Senior Katie Frerking is averaging a team-best 16.4 points per game (sixth in the SEC) and a team-high 2.7 steals per contest. Frerking leads active SEC players in career steals with 213.
  • Fellow senior Brandy Montgomery is averaging 15.7 points per game. She tops active SEC players in career three-pointers with 187 triples.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Mizzou earned its third consecutive victory and head coach Robin Pingeton secured her 450th career win as the Tigers raced past Arkansas, 60-46, on Monday. Mizzou clinched its first road victory at Arkansas since Dec 21, 2008.
  • Senior guard Sierra Michaelis tallied a game-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Mizzou. During the performance, Michaelis became the 34th Tiger in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points. With 1,009 career points, she ranks 33rd on Mizzou's all-time scoring list.
