This is a part-time on-site position for an Athletic Event Staff role, based in Columbia with the Mizzou Athletics Department. The Athletic Event Staff will assist in the organization and execution of athletic events. This position is strictly for Gamedays and will be centered around the day and time of each athletic event. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, providing excellent customer service to attendees, players, or staff, and executing security operations through University and Conference regulations. This role may also involve coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth event operations and addressing any immediate needs during events.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with attendees, staff and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments with excellent organizational skills
- Positive attitude and proficient customer service qualities for fans and guests
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, all weather conditions and long hours as required by athletic event schedules
- Previous experience in sports-related events or similar operational or customer service roles is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or relevant training is a bonus
- Access to a cell phone and email address
- Willingness to work in any role assigned (usher, ticket taker, bag checker, parking attendant, etc.)
- Must pass a criminal background check
