COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women's basketball will compete in the fourth annual Elevance Health Women's Fort Myers Tip-Off from Nov. 28-29, as announced by Intrasport on Wednesday.
Competing in the Shell Division, Missouri will play Bradley at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 and Northwestern at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 29. All games will be played at Suncoast Credit Union on the campus of Florida SouthWestern State College. Each contest and will be nationally televised by ION with distribution on cable, satellite, major streaming platforms and over-the-air.
"We are proud of the continued growth of the Elevance Health Women's Fort Myers Tip-Off, demonstrated once again by an impressive collection of teams that are participating in the fourth-annual event, but also that every game will be nationally televised by ION," said Mark Starsiak, senior vice president at Intersport, which owns and operates the event. "These eight games will prove to be meaningful contests as the season evolves and we're excited to bring these showcase games to a national audience during Thanksgiving Week."
In total eight teams will be residing in Ft. Meyers with Butler, Dayton, Georgia and Kansas competing in the Island Division.
In March, Kellie Harper became the fifth head coach in Mizzou program history. In 20 seasons as a Division I head coach, Harper has led her teams to a 393-260 record with nine NCAA Tournament berths. She has piloted her squads to 15 top-three league finishes and four conference tournament championships. Including her playing career at Tennessee, Harper has 11 seasons of SEC experience, In 2022-23, Harper led the Lady Volunteers to the NCAA Sweet 16 for a second consecutive season.
Grace Slaughter enters her junior season to headline the Tigers' new-look roster for the upcoming campaign. The 2024-25 SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, ranked 18th in the SEC with 15.0 points a season ago while also contributing 3.6 rebounds.
The reloaded roster will also feature seven impactful transfer additions, Chloe Sotell (Pepperdine), Jayla Smith (Purdue), Lisa Thompson (Rutgers), Sydney Mains (Florida Atlantic), Shannon Dowell (Illinois State), Jordana Reisma (Cleveland State) and Saniah Tyler (Kentucky).
