Friday night at Hearnes marks annual Pink Out match

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball continues Southeastern Conference play this weekend with a pair of matches. The Tigers host Ole Miss on Friday, Oct. 16, at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and two days later travel to Georgia on Sunday, Oct. 18, with first serve set for 12:30 p.m. (CT).
Both Friday and Sunday's contests will broadcast live on SEC Network+ via WatchESPN. Beau Baehman and Alexis Steinbach will be on the call at the Hearnes Center, while Kaleb Frady and Brittany Roderick is set for the call at the Ramsey Center in Athens, Ga.
Fans attending Friday's match at the Hearnes Center are encouraged to donate goods in support of relief efforts for fellow SEC member South Carolina and the university's surrounding area, affected adversely by recent floods and damaging storms.
Mizzou fans are particularly encouraged for paper supplies donations, such as plates, bowls, cups, towels, toilet paper, tissue paper and plastic flatware. All fans donating goods will receive free admission to Friday's match between the Tigers and Rebels.
Donations can be dropped off prior to first serve at designated stations inside the Hearnes Center located on the east and west concourses. In addition, Mizzou fans wishing to support relief efforts financially can easily do so by phone, sending a minimum $10 donation to the Red Cross by texting the word REDCROSS to 90999.
PROMOTIONS
- Friday night marks the Tigers' annual Pink Out match. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and help raise awareness of breast cancer.
- The first 500 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive Mizzou pink t-shirt. Pink pom-poms will also be available for Tiger fans while supplies last.
- A portion of ticket sales from Friday night will be donated to The Susan G. Komen Mid-Missouri Foundation.

- The Tigers lead the all-time series vs. Ole Miss, 8-5. Mizzou holds a perfect 5-0 advantage in all-time matches played in Columbia, Mo.
- Mizzou is 3-4 all-time against Georgia, including a 0-2 record in matches at Athens, Ga.
- Mizzou enters this weekend ranked second in the SEC standings (3-1) and its overall .882 winning percentage is tops in the conference and 11th in the NCAA.
- Behind four of their regulars hitting over .300, the Tigers' cumulative .284 hitting percentage ranks second in the SEC and 10th in the NCAA.
- Following a career-high 18 kills on .600 hitting last Sunday afternoon at Alabama, freshman Alyssa Munlyn's .337 season hitting percentage currently ranks 10th best in the SEC. The talented first-year Tiger also continues to be a force on defense, as her 1.01 blocks per set ranks ninth in the conference.
- Munlyn has stepped up her play since Mizzou began its SEC schedule. In four conference matches, the Suwanee, Ga., native has tallied 44 kills on .452 hitting and 16 total blocks.
- The Tigers have recorded at least 11 total blocks in each of their SEC matches thus far. Excellent play at the net is nothing new for Mizzou, as its 170.0 total blocks this season ranks second in the SEC and its 2.50 blocks per set is third best in the conference.

Following this weekend's matches, Mizzou continues its SEC schedule on Friday, Oct. 23, vs. Mississippi State. First serve at the Hearnes Center is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT).
