- Kyley Simmons started her third straight game after beginning the previous five games on the bench.
- The Tigers, who average an NCAA-best 10 3-point makes per game, had just two on 15 attempts in the first half, but did score 16 points in the paint. In fact, Mizzou was 9-of-14 in the first half from 2-point range (64.2-percent) while it shot just 2-of-15 from 3 (13.3-percent). The Tigers finished with just six 3-pointers, their lowest since hitting just five against Green Bay on Nov. 23.
- Liz Smith scored 19 points on Thursday, marking the third time in her career that she has hit double-digits scoring. The 19 points are a new career-high for Smith, who shattered her previous career-best of 14 against Missouri State (Dec. 6) earlier this season.
- Smith also reset her career-best with 11 rebounds as she tallied her first career double-double on Thursday.
- Morgan Eye scored all eight of her points in the second half.
- Bri Kulas hit double figures scoring for the eighth straight game with her 13 points in the game. Over those eight games, Kulas is averaging 16.3 ppg.
- Mizzou is currently riding a season-best seven-game win streak, defeating opponents by an average of 27.7 ppg while scoring 86.3 ppg. - The Tiger win comes despite hitting just six 3-pointers in the game. The six three pointers are the lowest for the Tigers since netting just five against Green Bay on Nov. 23.
- Mizzou assisted on 18 of 26 baskets on Thursday while Murray State had just nine assists on 21 baskets while committing 12 turnovers.
- Mizzou was much better from distance in the second half, going 4-of-10 after going just 2-of-15 in the first half. The Tigers on the game shot 60.6-percent from 2-point land on Thursday and just 24-percent from 3-point range.
