First Start: Angie Carter made her first collegiate start. She finished with two points.
Defensive battle: Missouri had a 24-22 halftime lead as both teams struggled from the field and from turnovers. Missouri made 8-of-30 shots from the field and had seven turnovers while Kansas made 6-of-21 field goal attempts and committed 11 turnovers.
Scoring Imbalance: After having several games this season with as many as four players scoring in double figures, Saturday's game just had two as Natalie Bright (27) and Kerensa Barr (20) combined for 47 of the Tigers' 66 points. They also made all eight of MU's 3-point field goals. Wannette Smith (8) and Evan Unrau (7) had 15 of the remaining 19 points.
Offensive Boards: Just like she has all season, Evan Unrau was a presence on the offensive glass. Of her game-high 11 rebounds, Unrau collected six on the offensive end. As a result of Unrau's efforts, 16 of MU's 36 rebounds were offensive ones.
Scoring Drought: Missouri went scoreless for six minutes and two seconds midway in the first half. After a 3-point field goal by Natalie Bright at the 11:37 mark, Missouri missed six shots and committed five turnovers during that time.
Not Quite: Natalie Bright sank six 3-point field goals, falling one shy of Julie Helm's mark of seven made against Texas Tech on March 1, 1997.
Not Quite II: Missouri's 16-0 run over four minutes in the second half was the Tigers' second-largest scoring spurt during a game. The Tigers scored 17 unanswered points against Southeast Missouri in the Unilever Lady Tiger Tournament. MU did score 16 straight points to open the game against Davidson in the Duke Classic.
