Part of the 2025 WCGA Assistant Coaches of the Year and the College Gym News Coaches of the Year, Jackie Terpak joined the Mizzou gymnastics staff as an assistant coach in June 2023.

As an assistant coach, Terpak focuses on choreography, assisting in coaching beam and floor, helping with recruiting and acting as a liaison for creative content.

Terpak played a crucial role in the Tigers' success in the 2025 season, helping the floor squad achieve numerous program bests. The Tigers earned its two top scores in history on the apparatus - a 49.725 at Zou to the Lou on Feb. 14 and 49.700 on senior day against Auburn on March 9. The team's No. 4 final NQS ranking on the floor exercise marked the highest end-of-season ranking on an event in program history. In addition, she oversaw Kennedy Griffin's development, who scored the second perfect 10 on floor in program history. Mizzou saw three WCGA Regular Season All-American Second Team gymnasts as well in Amari Celestine, Griffin and Jocelyn Moore. The Tigers scored 49.450 or higher on the apparatus in eight meets as well.

In her first season with the University of Missouri, Terpak worked closely with the team to choreograph floor routines. The floor lineup, dubbed The Fab Floor, ended the regular season ranked No. 8 in the country with a 49.575 NQS, the team’s highest finish and best NQS on the event in program history. The team posted a score of at least 49.300 on the apparatus in every meet, one of just three teams in the country to do that over the course of the 2024 season.

Four Tigers finished the campaign within the top 50 of floor NQS, making them one of just four teams to accomplish that feat. The Tigers were headlined by Jocelyn Moore finishing ninth in the country with a program-record 9.960 NQS to become Missouri’s first WCGA Regular Season All-American on floor.

Over the course of the campaign, Moore continued a 9.900 streak from the end of the 2023 season, ending her run 16 consecutive floor scores of 9.900 or higher. Over the course of the season, her streak was matched by only one gymnast in the country.

On March 17, 2024, Missouri’s floor lineup posted a program-record 49.700 team score, anchored by a perfect 10 from Moore, the first in team history.

Terpak came to Missouri from Arkansas, where she worked with the gymnastics team during the 2022-23 season as a volunteer assistant coach and choreographer.

Before her time in Fayetteville, Ark., she spent four years with the Temple gymnastics program. Starting as a gymnast, Terpak competed from 2018-2020, where she was a two-time Eastern College Athletic Conference team champion and made the All-Academic Team.

Following her time as a student-athlete, Terpak transitioned into a student coaching and choreographer role from 2020-22. Outside of the gym at Temple, Jackie served four years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was president in 2021-22. Additionally, she was a founding member of Owls for Justice, a group created to advocate for long-lasting reform for racial equality.

Terpak also worked with Temple Athletics as a creative video intern during the 2021-22 school year before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in media studies and production with a minor in sports management in the spring of 2022.
