Sam Peterson is in his first season with Mizzou Women’s Basketball since joining the program in August of 2024.
Before joining the Tigers, Peterson was a manager for the women’s basketball program at Iowa State where he helped scout opponents through clipping and analyzing game film, captured and analyzed statistics for practices and games and assisted the coaching staff with practices, drills, and individual workouts.
His additional roles included social media management through graphic design and organizing team equipment for practices and road trips.
During Peterson’s tenure with the Cyclones, he served as a trainer at Elite360 training where he organized and directed youth camps, while also arranging and managing individual training lessons.
During the spring and summer of 2021, Peterson served as the head coach for the Central Iowa Young Guns in Panora, Iowa. In the role, he oversaw in-game strategy and directed practices.
Peterson graduated from Iowa State University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in business. He also obtained a minor in marketing.
