Chante Stonewall is in her second season on the Mizzou women’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant after joining the program in May of 2022.
A decorated athletes at DePaul, Stonewall closed her career with All-America Honorable Mention acclaim (AP, WBCA, USBWA) as well as All-Big East First Team and Defensive Player of Year honors. She led the 2020 DePaul squad in scoring (17.4 PPG) on a roster that ranked No. 2 nationally in points per game, assists, and made 3-pointers per game. The Blue Demons finished the 2019-20 season ranked No. 14 (USA TODAY) in the country and won third straight Big East Tournament title. the Big East’s Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior. Stonewall finished her career at DePaul as No. 11 scorer all-time with 1,622 career points.
Following college, Stonewall was highlighted on every WNBA Collegiate 2020 Draft Watch-List from October 2019-March 2020. Although Stonewall went undrafted, she signed under Regeneracom Sports Agency and continued playing professional basketball overseas in France and Hungary, with the interest of playing in Spain in the spring of 2022.
Outside of athletics, Stonewall double-majored in psychology and sociology with another passion for serving individuals experiencing mental health crises. This led her to work closely as a case manager with a human services agency, Project Oz, and assistant coach with the travel basketball team Royalty Hoops Etc. and Respect One LLC in Bloomington, Illinois.
