Junior: Can be an aggressive player inside. Will be counted on heavily to assume some of the rebound territory owned by Renee Kelly last year. Averaged 7.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds, second on the team to Kelly. Started 15 games. Hit double figures nine times.
Sophomore: Started 23 games for Mizzou as a sophomore and averaged 6.4 points and 5.9 rebounds. Had career highs of 21 points against Oklahoma in the 1986 Big Eight semifinals and 16 rebounds against Iowa State. Played 28 games as a freshman, averaging 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds.
Rutherford on Ellis: "Tracy gained a lot of playing experience last year, playing with Renee Kelly, and in turn, that made her a stronger, better player. She will be shooting more this year and has to be our main force inside for us to be successful. She has dedicated herself to the game and we are looking forward to seeing her play."
1984-85 (Freshman): Strong player who saw a good deal of playing time inside last year... Played 28 games as a freshman, averaging 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds for the season... Had a career-high game of 19 points and 10 rebounds against Iowa State at Ames last year... Against Big Eight teams, played in 12 of 14 games, averaging 4.5 points and 4.3 rebounds... Rutherford expects her to see more playing time at post position this year.
High School: Averaged 18.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game at Alter High School... Earned all-city, all-area and all-Ohio acclaim... Was District 15 "Player of the Year" and earned a similar award from Kettering-Oakwood Times... Hit 49% of her shots from the floor during prep career.
