College: Strong player who saw a good deal of playing time inside last year...played 28 games as a freshman averaging 3.3 points and 3.6 rebounds for the season...had a career high game of 19 points and 10 rebounds against Iowa State at Ames last year...against Big Eight teams, played in 12 of 14 games avergaging 4.5 points and 4.3 rebounds...Rutherford expects her to see more playing time at post position this year.
High School, Personal: Averaged 18.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game at Alter High School...earned all-city, all-area and all-Ohio acclaim….was District 15 "Player of the Year" and earned a similar award from Kettering-Oakwood Times....hit 49% of her shots from the floor during prep career...majoring in art, Ellis is the daughter of Lewis and Laverne Ellis and was born 2/9/66.
